hello ladys what a truley positive thread! just subscribed to it..could i be cheeky and join in? i did do a dairy but i feel a bit like everyones staring..at least i could settle quietly and hide in one id feel better. im laura 32 , 2 young children ben 4 and keon 2, ben has just started big boy school and keon does one morning a week, i do not work but hubby works full time, this is my debt and i want to pay it off without sponging off him, he already pays for every thing, i contribute to the household by being the stay at home mummy, as it is i save him loads and loads in cheapest utilitys, we used reusable nappys almost everythings second hand, and we as a family have savings! as i said its my debt and im proud to be paying it off, myself without him giving me a helping hand so to speak. Ive only read up to page 4 so ill keep coming back , this weekend im making £80 for tutorial fees and i have another £13 to go in from pay pal and another £13? to go in from my savings account (my main bank closed so i opened just a savings account which i pay in all odds and ends on a friday and then i transfer it too my overdraft). I took am doing one debt at a time . good luck to us all xtotal debt 4711.00 at lbm (4217.31) dfd aug 2012 :eek: overdraft 800 (400.00) kill overdraft first, loan 1500.00 ,creditcard 2411.000

Welcome noynoy!
Well done for dealing with your debts, I understand why you want to deal with them on your own.
Do keep popping back, HWG is very inspirational and has helped to keep me focused.LBM Aug 09: £18,650.47 - Current: £12,854.93 (£5946.79)

Welcome Noymoy, its not a very exciting thread just me moaning or posting paid £20 off but it keeps me going. I have been the stay at home mum and im sure some of the debt i am paying off is from years ago but we are moving forward and thanks to a hardworking DH quite quickly.
Woowoo that was a very polite was of putting it i would say a gentle kick up the rear and making you feel guilty but whatever works it good on here as long as the debt is going down.
I have now sent the extra £15 off to Llloyds from the home insurance but now i need to start looking for a good deal maybe some cashback for the 1st November.MARCH 2016 DEBT £25750/ £25035

Challenge = Debt at 31/01/12 = £25k. 2011 Payments = £1,944.19/£24,403.84
There is no point in negative thought, it takes up time and energy which could be used in a positive, happy way!

Well not much to report waiting for Lloyds to update interest for the month used to update at 9pm but they have made some changes to the website and that doesnt seem to happen anymore.
Yesterday the lock on our front door broke yesterday and it's the only one major thing that is left to be sorted so we have decided to have a look round at new doors and see what prices they are, with winter coming it would probably be a good investment and we could do with a more secure door. This could have an impact on my plans although i am £120 ahead of my plan.
Im going to try and get to the bank tomorrow and pay the change in that i have collected but its not always possible as i only get 30 mins for lunch.
Hoping to be back in the morning with a reduced interest charge.MARCH 2016 DEBT £25750/ £25035
