Same problem here but has anyone actually been taken to court? I had the letter from intrum justitia this morning , a German based debt collection agency! Shall I just ignore it?0

Same problem here too - just had letter from Intrum Justitia saying I owe 260 euro. Can anyone recommend what I should do next please? Just ignore it or go to someone about it - who? Many thanks!0

Lol. How many people use this site then find their way to MSE to comment on this post a first time?0

If you put 'Be2co.uk complaint' into google, this thread is the top result so not that surprising that new posters join just to post once, especially if they have lost a significant amount of money.
A very quick google threw up quite a few other unfavourable comments about Be2co.uk. Here's just a couple:

I have also been scammed by this lot. i signed up for the £5 introductory membership but after a couple of days realised is was not a good site so tried to cancel. But every time I went to the page to cancel my account, the page gave a message saying that this option was not possible at this time and to come back late. I tried on numerous occasions to cancel without success. Then I got a call from my banks fraud department advising me that someone was trying to debit £149 from my account and had I authorised this. I told them I had not and the payment was declined. However a few weeks later, Be2 took the money from my account. HSBC fraud department then reclaimed it and canceled my card and looked into Be2.
I thought this was the last of it but no i have recieved a letter from Intrum Justitia inviting me to pay £149 to some spurious account. I am now in contact with my local CAB and will contact trading standards too.
Be2 say that there terms and condions detail this payment of 6months if you do not cancel within 1 month. however, I have read the T&C and it is not clear anywhere. Furthermore, surely they are in breech on contract if they do not let you cancel within the month.
I have no intention of paying these crooks £149. You only have to google them to see the many 100's of disatisfied people. Be2 - if you were at all credible you'd sort this out.0 -
I'd be happy to work with anyone else to get these people stopped0

Hi Gang,
Reading this thread has been quite interesting.
I have a question and hopefully, I will get an answer.
If you've received an 'demand' for this payment of £149.95 - and you've not paid this money - have they (be2.co.uk) actually pursued you for this money ... or is there a likelihood they would?
- Would be interested to find out more.
Hopeful, Aquila.0 -
Hi
Got my money back, I went onto the head office website and guested the CEO e-mail address, after a high number of e-mails I was given a refund.
Would you like me to send them to you? (I don't want to pubblish them on this website not sure if I can)
Frank
Hi Frank,
I'd be grateful if you'd pass these details on to me, because the head of their customer services posted on this forum inviting replies, but I'm not confident I'll be refunded without taking it further. It galls me because I e-mailed them to cancel my membership as soon as I was made redundant, and, knowing this, they debited me £149.94 yesterday.

Im not sure if Frank still uses this forum in as much as he posted that over a year ago."If you no longer go for a gap, you are no longer a racing driver" - Ayrton Senna0 -
Oh, dear,
I thought I was smart when it came to scams, but I didn't see this one coming. At first I had many "matches", but only one stayed in contact, we eventually met, but had absolutely nothing in common, so we haven't arranged anything else.
Like many others, I found it almost impossible to cancel this online. E-mails went back and forth between myself and customer service, until I had missed the deadline, and still hadn't cancelled. By that time I had completed their "fax" form and e-mailed it to them, but that still didn't do the trick, because I had copied and pasted the text into the e-mail. I then sent a pdf file as an attachment, but no, that wouldn't do either, because it had to be signed. Funny that, because they don't require a signature to join! Eventually, I had to print out the fax, sign it, scan it, then send it as an attachment. What a load of baloney.
They still swiped six months' money out of my account, despite my having told them I was cancelling because I had been made redundant and could no longer make the payments. The £149.94 they took represents over 50% of my monthly income, so I guess that new starvation diet is now going to take place. I explained that, they don't care.
I noticed a post on this forum from their "customer services manager", who invited people to write to him. Guess what? No reply. I notice Frank has the ceo e-mail addres, I messaged him, and am still waiting. In the meantime my bank won't dispute this until 23 February, because they have to leave 14 clear days in between. Today, I suggested as a gesture of goodwill they should reimburse me, however I don't think they have any human feelings at all, just want to scam as much as they can.
Anyone who has successfully got their money back, please contact me and let me know how you did it. Unless I get a job soon, I'll be absolutely rock bottom, and this money would at least give a cushion so I could run my car, and make it easier to get a new job.0
