Well here I am, safe and without any marks ( sorry to dissapoint ). Well first off because of my late night on Wednesday hiding in the pub I was late getting up to make sure my lovely wife had gone to work. I read the thoughts on here and even I laughed and of course took some of the comments on board, which more than one said about the instructions and writing to cillit bang so I went to retrieve the bottle from the bin forgetting Thursday is wheelie bin day and I was too late, ok so that's on hold. Another question was, why did I use cillit bang, well I didn't know I was, it was a bottle with a spray top which when I have stuck my hand in the cupboard before Iv'e come out with dettol/disinfectant which I use for the worktops and which I thought I was using at this time, the only marks on the doors were just finger marks etc.
Sat nice and quiet last night I enquired on her meal out with friends after making a nice cup of tea, but then I thought " that was stupid tea is hot " so we discussed this years holiday to get her in a good mood. Well the tea was finished and I broached the subject of defrosting the freezer and had she noticed, of course I knew the reply was no as she had not been anywhere near it.
I took a deep breath and stated that she had bought some real rough stuff for cleaning, why she replied, that cillit muck said I, I meant to throw that out she said, Why said I, well down the side of the freezer there's a dark stain on the boiler side so I used it and I noticed the stain was getting darker so I didn't bother any more and I was going to ask you to have a look. So then I cofessed to using it on the doors and now there's like rust marks left, of course now it looks even worse now it's dried, I'm sure it's still eating into the metal. Anyway where she had used it there it was paint removed, so I feel better although her dissaster doesn't smack you in the face when you walk into the utility room.
Now this morning, thinking why was there a stain on the side of the freezer so I inspect, I found it easy enough, just happens to be the shadow from the window hitting the boiler before the freezer.
I was due to do a redevelopment on the utility room sometime this year, so now it just might be brought forward.

I'm suprised the OP is still here, with all his bits intact!!

Best was to get out of the washing up, is to leave marks on the clean plates, you'll not be required again to help.

Best way to get out of doing the washing, is wash a red / black /grey item with the white wash, you'll not be required to help again.

Best way to get out of cleaning the doors to the freezer, use ciltbang..............

This thread's been an inspiration. I need to sand down my front door prior to painting which is always a total PITA job. All I have to do now is give it a quick spray with Cillit Bang and bingo ! Job done.

I'm still laughing at clit bang from 3 pages ago.....and the guy who basically blew up his house with cillit bang and petrol. I am nearly crying with laughter and this has cheered me up after a cack week.
