    Hi,

When I look at the bank charges templates, it refers to bank accounts and says "I am writing to request that you repay all the charges in relation to direct debits, unauthorised overdrafts and standing orders that have been applied to my account in the past six years."

Am I right in thinking I couldn't claim for charges for missed payments on my loan or would I just have to re-word this section slightly?

    Thanks

Also, would it be worth trying for the bank template letter plus interest? Not expecting to get anything to be honest so maybe worth a try? Any ideas :D
  • Hi im new here. im trying to bank charges templates, is there any avalable in this forum? if so, can anyone give me the link of the bank charges templates? thanks.
  • Hello There,

I notice that this thread is about Unfair Bank Charges.
I just thought i'd let anyone that doesn't know that, judging from some more experienced guys on here than me, you don't have a chance in getting anything back, not worth trying!

After the Supreme Court ruling, no one HAS won and no one WILL win.
That's what I was told yesterday, and i've wrote the letters to my bank, Natwest and got a big fat NO.

So, I put a claim in on Moneyclaim website, and showed that they owe me a fortune from 2005 to 2008 i think it is, yet everyone is telling me..

DON'T DO IT, NO ONE HAS WON SINCE 2009 AND IF THEY HAVEN'T, NO ONE WILL.

So i'm hopefully going to help someone here, by making them aware (as everywhere I looked on here, and other sites, it was all 'do it, do it, reclaim, you'll get your money back'), you won't. It's not worth it!

    Yes, hooray, a victory.
Submitted the PPI questionnaire in March and after a few letters apologising for the delay etc, received an offer today of a refund of all the ppi paid plus interest
thanks for this forum for all their help:beer:

Well sent the letter off asking for interest as well (thought I may as well try my luck) and gave them the "14 days to reply".

Had a reply dated 9th September saying they have received my complaint and they will deal with it promptly and fairly but does not state how long.

How long should I give them now to reply? Do I still chase up when it gets to the original 14 days or do I give them a further 14 days from the date of their letter?

Here's hoping I get something given the fact they have replied at all :)
  • Just to say I have been successful with my claims for PPI with santander (AKA alliance & Leicester) went into the bank where they gave me contact details to get in touch with the dept that handles PPI claims & have received £3.430 for my credit card & another £1 .400 for OD ins & another PPI they had slapped on. DO NOT GO TO PPI claim company's ,do it yourself ,it may take a few months but it is worth a try.:jThey have to respond within a set time & keep you informed of progress :beer:I just sent off the acceptance form for their offer & should have the money in my account within 15 working days. I would say to everybody that has paid PPI as long as you have your account details give it a try, the only info I has was when I started paying it, I didn't even have the policy details. Im going back as far as 1989. I was fed up with paying PPI as I wanted to clear my balance on my Visa card but the Ins was hampering that .I was paying about £11 a month PPI at the time, so decided to cancel it, as usual over the phone they gave me the usual are you sure you want to cancel the policy talk & listed the benefits including the fact I could claim if I needed to take time off work as a carer..that was news to me & I felt a bit sick as I had taken over a year off looking after my Mum but it was too late to claim off the PPI as you needed to claim within 18 months, had I been aware & claimed I could have got £1200, so I was informed  When i heard about the PPI miss selling I was skeptical, but I have been successful.
But DO NOT USE CLAIM COMPANY'S THEY TAKE ABOUT 25% COMMISSION, GOOD LUCK :T

Well that's strange because I too bank with NatWest. I wrote to the CEO of RBS (who own NatWest) and had quite a good result, thank you very much. Please don't be so negative .

    Hi there,

Just wondered if anyone could advise on the above - don't want the bank getting away with extra days they aren't allowed :)

    Thanks
  • I would give them 14 days and if no reply then email the CEO and attach a copy of the original letter ;)
