Thank you Amanita, the lumps are still the same for me too, I accept them now and am just grateful thats all they are:) I'm going to stick with the epo until the soreness settles or my GP suggests something else, which ever comes first and just suffer the skin:(who knows it might even settle, I wonder if the starflower is less volume, that would mean less oil and that might equal less spots, you can see I did science at school:rotfl:I might well give that a go, thanks again:)

Thanks for this thread - it has reminded me about EPO. Mine are feeling a bit tender today, so I shall see if I still have some lurking around.

For info, the doc told me when I had a sore breast lump that cancerous lumps are very, very seldom painful, so if you have a sore lump by all means get it checked ASAP, but don't panic about it!
    Trust me - I'm NOT a doctor!

More oil intake wont change spots on your face I'm afraid, spots are caused either by hormones or bacteria on your skin and clogged pores or a mixture of both. I'd say its more likely to be hormonal because of everything else you mention but thats just a guess from a non medic! Maybe see which works best in terms of evening out or reducing certain hormones may give you a better shot, good luck tho.

jenniewb, I can really see the logic in your reply and I agree that everything points to those blasted hormones but I do notice that when my diet is rubbish, for example if I pig it on chocolate or even have a lot of dairy I have terrible skin a couple of days later, its guaranteed to happen so its not even a one off, is it the diet effecting my hormones? therefore having a knock on effect.

"Rubbish" diet doesn't really cause spots, but it can promote them.

When you eat, what you eat goes into the blood stream, feeds the rest of the body and eventually feeds the skin. As its poor in nutrients, the skins ability to fight the bacteria which day to day living adds to the skin is greatly reduced and so bacteria ends up in the skin cells, breeds and gets trapped. Thus you get spots. The skin naturally sheds a little every day anyway but its what its shedding that is important. You feed it "rubbish", it will be created from "rubbish" and shed "rubbish".
Facial scrubs, alot of cleaning and anti-bac moisturisers can help to keep this at bay but it can only do so much and spots will still appear.

Also, some foods, medications and theres even a theory on plain water which can mess with certain hormones as they themselves have hormones added- I don't have the exact knowledge on what does what but certain things do have certain hormones added, even in small doses this can then mess with the hormones we have in our body and put them into overdrive or even reduce how others work. As a result skin can produce more oils and this can cause trapped sebum and dead skin cells which get caught in the cells....you get spots.

Basicly the moral of the story is you are what you eat!

Thanks for your video on the first post, been checking now. I was wondering, being under 50, is there anyway I could pay to have my breasts checked say every 5 years? Wish there was like a full body MOT you could have done, say £100 for a full body check by GP.

Just wondered....does anyone else notice their breasts get really tender every other month?

I have heard that each ovary gives away an egg/ovulates every other month, (I get my symptoms lasting for about 2-3 weeks then they magicly vanish after my period ends) I wonder if there are some sort of hormonal glands it affects by doing this, glands which give off hormones which affect things like breast tenderness (a gland that would release oestregen maybe?) its just a guess as I have no scientific knowlegde on this (but will quiz the doctor next time I see them) just really stuck out to me as I am currently seeing a gyno for other reasons and have really noticed this much more now.

Anyone else in a similar boat? do your hormones come on every other month?

Hi everyone:) A bump for good measure;)and also to say that I had my mammogram today, it was much less intrusive than I thought and didn't hurt at all, I had an ultrasound afterwards and both came back totally clear, in fact some of the lumps have disappeared completley:DI'm still on the EPO and no pain at all, taking just one a day, I even told some women who I spoke to in the breast clinic today about it so hopefully we can help some more people even outside of mse;)I am absolutely shattered now after nearly 3 hours in the hospital but very happy, best of luck to all who have answered on this thread, don't forget to do the checks (see post 1) and thanks for the great advice:T
