I buy tesco value porridge oats, they're less than 50p a bag and just as nice as any other I've tried. I weigh out 40g, add half milk, half water (by eye) then micro for about 2 mins.

I'm with you on this one. Full milk, 55 seconds in the microwave, give it a stir, another 33 and you're there.

Sitting here with a bowl of scottish tesco oats with semi skimmed milk, micro'd for 2 mins. They're ok but not great - abit stodgy. Do the tesco value ones taste better than these?

Dislike the powdered sachets. Much prefer the Scotts Porage Oats (whole oats).

Thats why I buy the dorsets oat sachets- 30 gram sachets, 10 in a box. Only seen them in a few Tesco stores and Waitrose, they are not powdered and if your prone to creaping portion sizes they are pefect- non stress breakfast ;)

    Hi All

I too have an addiction to Oats So Simple.Love the Apple and Blueberry. But what I don't understand is how oats are advertised as a filling, low gi breakfast. I have mine at 8.00am and I'm starving by 9.00am.:(

Value oats made with water. Then 2T elmlea cream and 1T golden/maple syrup.

    Approx 300 calories. Lovely.
