This is a bit off topic but I know lots of you are mums/dads on here...when is may half term in england? I have week of may 24th booked off work and wanted to look at holidays but they seem pricey for May so I wondered whether it was half term in england (it's not here in Wales)?
TIA

Flutterbyuk - half term in May is usually the last week in May, I work in a college so will double check for you tomorrow if no one else confirms it. Unfortunately do not seem to have ds2 holiday calender from school.0

Evening peeps
mission accomplished
all the cleaning has been done and all the paperwork has been sorted and is ready to be put in the filing cabinet upstairs.
Tea has been scoffed and very nice it was too, toad in the hole with lincolnshire sausages, roast potatoes, cauliflower, the last of the runner beans from the garden and thick onion gravy mmmmmmmmmmm!
I`m debating whether or not to nip to Asd@ as i`ve forgotten a couple of things that i need but i should be able to manage without if i need to.
Its snowing here
big hairy flakes that are settling fast  maybe i won`t go out after all.
I set the bm going by mistake
i meant to set it on the timer but can`t have, i wondered what the noise was coming from the kitchen, never mind. The fruit loaf that i made earlier is now cool so i may just have a slice with a cuppa. The only things that i have left to do today are to fill the slowcooker as that is going on overnight and to sort the dogs food out. I gave up on the freezer inventory earlier as i was not in the mood and its far too cold in there without any heating. If i was cooking then it would be ok but otherwise its far too cold without messing around in the freezer too.
Csarina - Glad that you are there and moved in, good luck in your new home, may you be happy and healthy there.
((((HUGS)))) for the peeps with poorly fingers  i went all shivery when i read about them both
Rachel - Hope OH`S mum is ok.
I`m off to slice the fruit loaf, and i may partake in a glass or two of the newly bottled vino
Have a peaceful evening guys.
SDPlanning on starting the GC again soon

Having a nightmare:eek:
Supposed to be going with OH to give notice at registry office tomorrow and now find I have lost my decree absolute:mad::eek:
Only have a week left before the giving notice period runs out and my booking for wedding gets cancelled aaaaarrgggh.
I think I have to get one from the county court but not sure how long it takes.
grrrrr I could kick myself.....I thought it was with my other papers but not there. Have been in hysterical tears for an hour:o0 -

:grouphug: NPM, hopefully it will turn up. Can you just put everything together without that, and go & have a cuppa / glass of plonk & a hug from OH to chill, then it may just magic itself to where you though it was?
There's nothing worse than losing one vital bit of paperwork - OH lost the car MOT on Sunday as it was going into the garage to be p/x for my car, we ended up leaving home about an hour later than we should have done :mad:0 -
NPM - big hugs to you, i'm sure if you rang the courts you could get a speedy one maybe (thinking about it i don't think DH had to take his when we went to the registry office)You know your getting old when yougo to the pub sit outsideand admire the hanging basket
