Thought you might all like a joke

A woman was sitting at a bar enjoying an after work cocktail with her girlfriends, whenSteven, a tall, exceptionally handsome, extremely sexy, middle-aged man entered. He was so striking that the woman could not take her eyes off him.
This seasoned yet playful heartthrob noticed her overly attentive stare and walked directly toward her. (As any man would.) Before she could offer her apologies for staring so rudely, he leaned over and whispered to her, "I'll do anything, absolutely anything, that you want me to do, no matter how kinky, for $20.00...on one condition..."
Flabbergasted, but intrigued, the woman asked what the condition was.
The man replied, "You have to tell me what you want me to do in just three words."
The woman considered his proposition for a moment, and then slowly removed a $20 bill from her purse, which she pressed into the man's hand along with her address. She looked deeply and passionately into his eyes, barely concealing her anticipation and excitement, and slowly and meaningfully said.....
"Clean my house."[SIZE=-1]

Good morning all

The snow has gone and we've been left with rain today :mad: Not that I should be too bothered as I'm cooped up in the office all day.....
Hope you had a great bday N9eav! Love, hugs and happy thoughts to all that need them
Started on the meat from the local butcher last night and made sweet & sour chicken for tea - pre OS I would have just dished out whatever I had cooked and 9 times out of ten there'd be waste that would go in the bin . BUT last night I managed to make 3 meals for dinner, lunch for today and diced up the remainder of the chicken to freeze for another recipe/meal in the future. Wowzers!! Sounds daft probably, but I'm so pleased that already I can see ways of stretching my money further :j:j Plus there's the added bonus of the portion sizes being small and [fingers crossed!] a smaller waistline
That said, dinner tonight is steak and home made chips and garlic bread....
Have a great day everyone!The 2012 mantra - "A place for everything, and everything in it's place"0 -
Morning All!
Haven't posted for a while, been lurking!:rotfl:
I have got myself a cat after 23 years of not having one! He's called Buddy, and is a white and black long-haired. We got him from our RSPCA rescue centre. He'd been there since last July, don't know why, he's so sweet and friendly! He certainly knows which side his bread is buttered, he's wrapped both myself and OH around his little claws already!:rotfl:
N9eav -Belated birthday greetings, Glad you enjoyed it. You were lucky with that steak, can I have some?:j
Really achy today. I am going swimming later, so I hope the water makes me feel better. Got my ESA tribunal on the 17th Feb. I hope I win, the though of having to go through interviews and down the job centre fills me with dread.:o
(((((((((((((((((HUGS))))))))))))))) to those who need them.
Enjoy the day!I Believe in saving money!!!:T

Just stopped for a breather and a quick catchup

There are now 7 empty demijohns here :j all the wine has been bottled so i`m very pleased as i hate doing it but its so worthwhile later when it comes to the drinking part
, i shall clean out the demijohns later and put them to steralize.
The houndies have been for their morning walk, we picked a gap in the rain which was great but the younger monster houndie came back black  she always heads off into the muddy swamp bit in the park and loves it but she is now all sparkly and clean, she is nothing like a little girly dog at all.
I`ve sorted through two huge piles of paperwork and have two more to do then i shall start again in the kitchen, i`m hoping to get all the floors mopped today but will do them in stages as i move the furniture and the houndies around.
Hester - Great that you have made the appointment, go get em girl.
Bargainbird - Love the joke :rotfl:
Paper mountain number three will be started shortly
Back later guys.
SDPlanning on starting the GC again soon

Morning everyone - how are you all doing?
It's cold here again today and threatening to snow. Still some icy/slushy stuff on the ground from the weekend.
Had a nice surprise when I got back from Choir practice last night. DH had stripped the chicken carcass and made a pie filling with it. So that's tonight's tea taken care of. Enough chicken left over for a risotto later in the week andthe pan of stock made 8 portions of soup, one of which will do me at lunchtime today.
Pretty busy at work just now, but it keeps a girl out of mischief!
Have a good day everyone and hugs to all in need.0 -
Good morning,
My back bedroom now has no ceiling, which is stage one of it's transformation to main bathroom. Newspapers from 1946 fell down with the ceiling! The cat is locked in the kitchen to stop it from "helping". This means I will not be doing anything much in the kitchen as the locked in cat will want to "help" me too. I've taken some chicken from the freezer for dinner for us.
No doubt the dust will start to settle soon. I have shut all the other doors to try and cut down on the cleaning afterwards, but having already done the same to so many rooms already, I know exactly how much cleaning I will have to do, and I'm not looking forward to it.
It's been an odd week - I've been a bit miserable since I visited Paul's ex boss on the ship last week. Too much of a reminder I guess. The house elf is now getting up at 5am in the morning instead of 4:30. I put him to bed at 6:30pm on Saturday night and I am making his bedtime 15 minutes later every couple of nights in the hope that we achieve normality soon and a 6am wakeup.
Take care all of you0 -
