Welcome to my world!!!! Have felt a real mess this week as the shop reopens tomorrow and I've been working back of house all week in old jeans, trainers and a manky jumper. Have put money past for a new outfit for it and getting a lovely little top and trousers.
I haven't had any NSD's yet this month which is rubbish. ALWAYS take food to work but have been to Subway/McDonalds and left it in the cupboard the last two days as I'm so tired and needing something tasty by lunchtime due to the long shifts. All stops tomorrow though.
I can't do boyfriend cardi's at all, they just don't suit me but love dresses with thick black tights and heeled boots for days off.
Love reading this thread!'The road to a friends house is never long'0 -
Yep I dont want jeans anymore, I think dresses and tights are the way forward

hehe i only wear dresses in the summer( i like to pack as light as possible).. i do not like my legs much... i have problems with ingrowing hairs, so that put me off... but i do like to wear dresses with black tights.Mejor morir de pie que vivir toda una vida de rodillas.0

I agree only with tights, dont want to scare the neighbours kids with my pastie whites

I always used to feel like that but then discovered that longwear foundation applied on your legs works a treat... I buy a bottle of the loreal 16 hour stuff in a nice light golden colour, smooth it on and voila, you are ready to go - even-coloured but pale legs...it masks any odd veins, red follicles, pasty white/blue skin beautifully - no messing about with expensive, fiddly and unpredictable fake tan (which always looks a bit odd when your legs are a different colour to the rest of you) and requires 12 hours of preparation...it's changed my life and attitude to wearing skirts!0

so i've gone into cold turkey thanks to my wonderful OH it's only been since Monday but already i'm fretting about what 'bargains' i'm missing
:( i'm sure it can only get easier...can't get much worse than this surely??? No ebay or shopping...Though i did have to go on amazon earlier and buy my dad a dvd so got a little shopping fix and bloke 'let me' (wrong termology as he's NOT controlling my finances) buy a 2nd hand book on there as a treat it was £3 with postage...
On a plus side i paid and cleared my outstanding council tax today....that £500 paid since jan 12th, so ebay, amazon, green met were/are good for something.
Tomorrow Bloke is paying for me to have my hair donw...i've not been to a hairdresser in over a year:eek: i usually do it myself but my hair is SO thick and crazy it needs sorting and the amount of grey- OK OK WHITE!!! hairs that are sprouting through:mad::o i'm dying it at home tho...i've got all those dyes to use up lol:rotfl:
You are all right i've got a good one with my OH...we have had our ups and downs but together 8 years in Nov and we have 2 kids...he's a great dad and idolises me...which couldn't be further from my ex hubby lol:rotfl:
also saving up for a trip to Dublin, never been anywhere where i've needed a passport...do you know they are £77 now:eek::eek::mad: typical! Anyway i'm 30 on the 30th dec so trying to arrange a few night just me and bloke...he's 31 on the 1st Jan so that time of year is mental...new years in Dublin should be awesome!!! Mags are you from that way? we should meet up to put the world to rights lol!:rotfl:
SALESADDICT-sorry to hear about your dad,you are all in my thoughts and prayers...x
and to the REST OF YOU:D Well done!!! xxHoping to of finally learned my lesson...slowly but surely0 -
Think I will try some of the 16 hour stuff for my legs deptdesparado as I have bad thread veins. Have asked OH to buy me a dress and bag for my birthday (31st March) off M&S website. £15 off bag plus code for 10% off, so trying to be moneysaving!0

That is a great tip deptdesparado
. Will have to remember that for summer so I don't blind people with my pasty pins.
I've been very good this week. I haven't been into town at all despite having a bit of a rubbish week. Normally I would have been in at least once just for a look around. Think it helps that I've decided I want a pair of GHDs, so all the odd £s that I would normally spend on rubbish I am now mentally putting towards those.0 -
Hi all
Nice to see you again on here velocity girl, you must be in cold turkey withdrawals, glad you were allowed to quick splurge on Amazon.:)
Thanks for the foundation tip. What a good idea!
Hi MissLauren
Seems like you've learnt some good lessons with your expensive earrings.
Hopefullyoptimistic - that must have been a shock to the system to have all your goods out on display. Well done on finding a way to stop the continual buying.
I took my son out to the cafe apart from that didn't spend anything today. Was given some food shopping (heavy bags of flour) and large bag of pasta and £20 from mum.
Well since I started this thread, impulse shopping is minimal - only bought 2 books. Clothes -2 skirts that are tight
and a long sleeve top - luckily that fits.
verynewmoneysaver - what's the dress like?
Chores at strange times of day - I get like that too.0
