I'm officially starting the food challenge tomorrow (after today's intake), I feel so annoyed with myself.

Hopefully start doing proper financial update next week.

How are you planning to do the food challenge? Are you calorie counting or following a plan.

I will be doing my finances before new year and concentrate on reduced/beter food intake from January

Hi, I came across this thread and wonder how you plan to do this. I have been told I'm a little overweight and what with Christmas I guess a little overweight has turned into a lot.

Do you keep a food diary or something or is it just a case of sticking to a certain number of calories a day as Frogletina suggested?

Is it something we can all do together, to support each other?

By the way, try not to beat yourself up about what you ate. You can't control the past, only the things you do now. Good luck.

I am going to blow your cover :) as this isn't the kind of post I imagined when you said you were going to make some comments on this thread.

    Very boring :rotfl:

FR, I'm just returning to eating how I was before Xmas - minimum cakes, no salty snacks..

    Hi Anglea

I perhaps will have to cut out a lot more than that if I am to lose weight. And if I don't go back to swimming tomorrow then I definitely will have to go back next week as I really need the exercise.

I have so much chocolate in the house and a big Christmas cake. I just have to plan my meals better as well so I don't get hungry and just end up eating anything.

    Hi Freeoffers

Welcome to the challenge, I know I need all the support I can get.

  • Afternoon all,

That total also includes some matched betting profits, and also surveys/cashback. But about 2/3rds of it is from selling things I just didn't need - shoes, clothing, electricals like an old camera/mobile/laptop, a blackberry that I won and used very little, a trampoline, exercise machine, errrrr, can't think what else! Just the general clutter that we all amass and think is worthless... but it actually does sell.

Some things only sell for a couple of £s but it really does add up. Can't complain as what I've made pretty much covered my spends for 2011.

Looking forward to seeing how everyone else's numbers add up this year.

    =================
BTW the food that I class as junk are extras on top of proper meals - like KFC (last night for instance... had a full roast dinner at 3pm and then a KFC meal later on), energy drinks, fizzy pop, multipacks of sweets and crisps that I end up bingeing on, you get the picture! =/

I haven't weighed myself in about a fortnight so not sure what the damage is, but I don't really feel any different. I've been eating rubbish for weeks now... not an easy habit to break out of. But I am with you all - I could do with cutting down on junk, though not with the intention of losing weight if that makes sense.

Oh & ziggles, I had bacon in a pitta bread this morning, after reading about your bacon/naan combination. Probably not the best way to start being healthy, but I have to admit I have a fried breakfast almost every morning. It's the only thing that keeps my hunger at bay until dinnertime.

I think the time of the post - 4.50 am - is a clue.

CL I was reading the details what you have done for money, I remember you mentioning matched betting before is that done online?

You must have a very high metabolism if you eat all those snacks and still are slim. If you had the roast dinner at 3pm then the KFC would have been your evening meal?

I think ziggles has started a trend,. I just had bacon butties as well. I had to cut the top of the plastic ketchup bottle off to get some from the base and I also knocked over a large jar of nescafe Gold. The new tops don't screw up properly, it came off in my hand as I was holding it up :( Mess to clear up later.
