Can't remember if I mentioned this, but that friend I met a couple of times, I realised I couldn't do it anymore. She hadn't changed and it was making me feel exhausted being around her. I'll have to think of something diplomatic next time she makes contact. I feel awful about it.
I think that a friend of mine is getting the message that he can't just keep turning up. I said a week before I went on holiday that I was busy and for him not to drop in (cowardly, I sent this as a message via facebook)
Since I have been back, he's been about 3 times but now texts in advance to see if it is ok - today I said no, too tired - maybe tomorrow
It's hard but I need my space when I settle down for the evening, and he was turning up out of the blue sometimes very late and often expecting to stay overnight. Not Rachmaninov

Hi girls
Ziggles re the washing. Most items will be ok but some are handwash only or dryclean I think you need to check. Also don't put them in with items with zips, metal buttons etc.
Me going out - I've always been going out during the week, usually in the cafe, sometimes the wine bar during the week. However one of the dreaded admirers goes there, so I stopped going alone.
Up to this summer, I've just gone to the pub once or twice a month evenings and for lunch, with DS. The reason it's got more frequent is because the other one was here all summer - going away tomorrow so it's back to normal now.
FR, that must be really annoying having someone turn up like that, does he have any other friends? I'm assuming it's the same one you mentioned before.0 -

Yes, it is the same one. He does have friends but he sees me as a second mother when he wants to chill out.
I have been busy all day today as I had some furniture delivered. Very nice too and it is all in situ now but I had a real struggle to remove it all from the packaging (one item was a 6ft bookcase!) and without a car I'm going to have difficulty disposing of all the cardboard. I'm also aching from all the maneuvering I had to do to get each piece in place.
Now, if only The Muse was around, he would have been the best person to help me, pity he lives so far away. We did have a long conversation via text last night, which was lovely.
Bym was on MSN today, (he came back from his holiday yesterday) and we chatted for ages - he said he would have loved to come and see me tomorrow but he has a busy Monday coming up. Oh well, maybe he will suggest next weekend. Not Rachmaninov

Hi everyone
FR - how are you feeling after moving your furniture - did you get your friend to help - the one that keeps turning up?
I've finally written up my paper receipts from August, September but not added the utility bills and didn't keep track of cafe, pubs etc so won't be accurate. Very slow progress.
Ziggles how are you feeling lately - where are you living?
CL - did you get a Xmas job - how's the driving?
NGlady - how are your budgets and wardrobes
How's FE and Morocha?0 -

Hi Anglea
My back is still aching after moving furniture! No, I've not seen friend all week -thought he would have come round on the Saturday, but I decided not to call him to help as that would only have encouraged him. One of the bookcases has a rather rough join on one side, not noticable in the position it is in but for the money I paid for it I'm not happy and not sure whether to contact the company about it. But it would mean I'd have to empty it all out if they decided to replace it.
Slow but sure with the accounts is the way to go. I'm up to date with mine, but my capital is dwindling with my holidays and furniture. My income just covers the day to day costs.
I messed up with one of my Isa's (it came to the end of a fixed rate) but the guy at the bank gave me wrong information too so I rang up the head office and was told to go back into the bank. Guy took no notes but said he would deal. Rang me up in the week to say that he's sorted it out and that the interest would be backdated! Just waiting to see a statement now to confirm it. :jNot Rachmaninov

Hi everyone
Ziggles how are you feeling lately - where are you living?
QUOTE]
Hey peeps. Long time no speak. Is everyone ok, not sufering from the really rubbish weather? I am soo cold! Plus i have a leak in my sunroof that can't easily be fixed (due to it being a rover) I am almost at the stage of just asking the guy to seal the thing shut but what happens if i want to sell it later?
Anyhow. I am well in emotional limbo- you know when you feel nothing- although i did have my first cry in about 9 months the other day- reading a book:o I tell you i was getting abit worried about my crying ability. Since i went to therapy about 10yrs ago i cry loads but since i started some meds last year- nothing! wierd.
i am moving next sunday. To an old b&b, nice room and bathroom (not shared) might be with another girl but not too bothered as the b&b part of this woman's house is seperated from her own living area- just share the kitchen. Even if it's til summer then i still get to save and blitz some debts as it's quite cheap so even though it is a bit out of town(8 miles to work) i still save.
I could tell you things about crazy landlord- it beggars belief the shenanigans that are going on. The setp-monster can't understand why i won't just move home! (i have high levels of tolerance!).
I am planning on doing nothing all weekend except go for my flu jab tomorrow and church on Sunday and that is is. Vegging for the rest with crazy landlady!
happy Friday all!Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heavenMatthew 5:30 -

Hi Nglady
Look forward to update
try a craft shop- there'll be boxes for yarns, beads etc. Or you could get wee sewing kits from somewhere
or sewing baskets that you could even turn into a mini- sweet picnic
Kids lunch boxes- bigger but you could make inserts/dividers
Normal tupperware and you can make card inserts with a christmassy/person specific theme.
ooh what a great idea!Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heavenMatthew 5:30 -
H girls
Fr, sorry that you're not happy with your furniture, strange the timing of your friend, just when it's inconvenient, perhaps you might have needed his help just this once.
Your comment about the ISA reminded me I completely forgot months ago i was supposed to do something. Glad yours is finally done.
Ziggle, I bet you'll be glad to get out of that house with the mad landlady. I can see why you might not want to return home now you've lived away. Hope you get your car sorted. I really hope when you move that your emotional health improves.
NGlady,
I was really sorry to hear about your holiday - HUGS, were you ok when you were there?
those boxes are sold in craft shops to keep embroidery threads or beads. Alternatively you could find them in a cheap shop.
Apart from markets, the retro sweets are in Julian Graves.
Another possibility is to put layers of sweets into a large gift jar - either go into a newsagents and ask if they have any empty ones, or those kilner jars for jam making price about 1.99 -3.99 depends where you buy them and you could make a circle of nice fabric to cover the lid, add some ribbon. Very cheap to make.0 -
