I don't know who I see myself as being like (film/tv-wise). I'm trying to think of someone desperately awkward, but the only person I can think of is Ugly Betty! LOL.

I'm still enjoying BB, though because there isn't any live feed this year, I'm not as addicted to it. Bit fo a shame really, though perhaps I should be thankful as it isn't taking over my life like it usually does..!

I hope you're not putting yourself down CL.

What do you think of Aaron?
  • Nah, not at all. Not the ugly part... the socially awkward is pretty true though. I find it funny most of the time :)

I think Aaron is confused and stuck in the closet, and he's using poor Faye so people forget about his thing with Tom. I feel a bit sorry for him! I mean what must his family think?

I missed BB this evening thought it was on later - did anything happen in the love triangle?

I wonder what all their parents think, they've all got their bits out on display LOL

I've never watched Ugly Betty so not sure what it's about..

    Evening girls,

    How are you all today?

I had a really good time today, treated to the meal and drinks, friend was insisting on it as we haven't seen each other so long. What a surprise.

We're going out again this week. None of the usual men were in the pub so it was even better.

So pleased to hear it went well with your friend

I've started swimming again today - was going to have gone tomorrow as well but I have a tradesman coming in to look at my microwave. I know microwaves are cheap to buy but this one is built in. It will probably cost more to service than the cost of a new free standing one.

    Morning ladies :)

Well.. just an update: I rang opticians yesterday, played the game but unfortunatly I cant get a freebie - so got to ring up and order some this morning. Decided though, it does outweigh the amount of times when theyve charged me wrong/played the discount game in other shops to make up for an occasional misfortune like this.

I dont know if i wrote about this, but ive had new bedding - and OMG the pillows, to say there meant to be silent night memory pillows r horrible!! ended up in the garage in the middle of the night getting my old ones i luckily didnt throw away haha.

Not many working days now till i go on my holidays :)
  • Hi all,

Anglea: I too am glad to hear your meeting turned out well. I think we often catastrophise things in our heads, and a lot of the time they are nowhere near as bad as we expect! Just shows that taking a chance can pay off :)

BTW I found the tv programme lin k you posted to be a pretty spooky coincidence!!!

Aww NG well at least you tried to get them for free. If it's a necessity then I wouldn't feel too bad about it. As for the pillows, that is so annoying. Especially as you can't return them. What about writing to the manufacturer and complaining, or even complaining to the company you bought them from, via letter to head office? Might work, you never know!

FR: I wish I could swim! I know it's sooooo good for you, but it's just something I could never do. I really need to start exercising again too. I haven't done any running since the race I did in mid-Sept, so might persuade my mum to come for a little run outdoors with me tomorrow.

I could hardly swim until I was in my late twenties, and then I had adult swimming lessons. I was taught to float and once I'd learned this I no longer had any fear. I went this afternoon and swam 32 lengths (of 25 metres) which is half a mile - and am now exhausted

Microwave fixed, service cost £49 but with new parts due to intermittent fault, new bulb etc and vat, total was £132.06
