Completelylost - 48 bags of snacks  What's happening about your coat? Definitely not going to change your mind?

I haven't taken it back yet :o I have until 8th March to decide so I'm going to think about it a bit longer! And yeah, 48 bags of French Fries... well, 44 now as I had three yesterday and one this morning :mad::mad:

Morocha: well done on your no-spend day and for having £110 in paypal - that's great :j

Nixxx: I am the same with magazines, always wanting things from them. Though I often find that things in magazines are out of stock by the time you go to the shop to check for them. So you end up buying them overpriced from ebay. Grrrrrr.

Velocity.girl: I feel the same when I look in my wardrobe. Like I am hoarding a load of clothes from my younger years but I feel quite sad about getting rid of them, even though my style has changed a lot since then.
    ====================

Got in from town just now and waiting for me was my free Graze box - thanks velocity.girl for the code. They're really nice, I'm going to have the £1.49 one and then cancel. If anyone wants a code for a free one, let me know.

    Today's spends: £7.93...
    £2.51 on non-essential food :o
    £1.46 on medicine
    £1.49 on handcream :o
    47p postage
    £1 on packaging material

It's amazing how all of the little amounts add up. Didn't realise I'd spent nearly £8 until I sat and added up all of my receipts! The food stuff I really didn't need, and I didn't really need the hancream (though I have ran out, I have plenty body lotion I could have used).

Oh well, at least I didn't come back with clothes or shoes - that's the main thing!

    Hi all

Morocha I like those thin biscuits too. What is worrying is that there are 'creams' versions of them e.g. Nice with cream. (mouthwatering as I type)

Completelylost - 4 bags of snacks LOL. you've done well on your shopping today

I'm getting annoyed with myself for the amount of cakes I've been buying lately, I think it's getting out of hand. Before I'd only eat on a Sunday visiting ex inlaws or if my children are on a visit.like today - went to the cafe and had tea and scones. Later on I passed the bakers and bought some more. I've already got a frozen cheesecake for tomorrow (mainly for son) so didn't need more cake for today did I? But nowadays I'm having cakes everyday instead of just occasional treats. Last week I ate 2 of those Soreen malt loaves spread with butter in one go!!.

Swapping one addiction for another I think. :(

Oh I love crisps especially the Salt 'N Shake with the little blue packets.

I went to Town yesterday, 1st time in months recovering from a broken ankle and I did buy a few things. I was really pleased as I did not buy any clothes and wasn't even remotely tempted.

    I did buy hubby a new shirt, poloshirt & 3 thermal t-shirts.

Went to Boots & picked up the Dove deodrant on bog off offer, handed over 2 vouchers and it took an extra £1.28 off my Soap & Glory wipes which were on offer at £2.66 so a bargain.

I then picked up a Leighton Denny crystal nail file have wanted one for ages, Sanctuary lip gloss half price & Soap & Glory travel bottle & tubs half price and paid with points so a no spend.

Went to TKMax and picked up a men's Burt's Bees kit for £5.99 (for my present stash) might give it to hubby as part of his birthday presents retails for £29.36 so another bargain.

Went to Milletts as they had a couple of good offers on items that I needed and bought my 2 man tent £20.00 & a 65 litre rucksack for £15.00 for when we go to Glastonbury festival.

Then took hubby for lunch all day breakfast, fish, chips & peas, 2 x bread & butter pudding with custard & 2 pints of lager for £12.00 which i thought was another bargain, christ I sound like the 'bargain' hunter of the century :rotfl:

I really admire your shopping style. I do love a bargain. I can't possibly go to Tk Maxx. All the cosmetic sets are just too tempting. I hope your ankle isn't giving you gyp now.

I love Stila. I think I must have all their products now because of brandalley. I was so relieved it is all sold out. Although I do think I have learned my lesson there. It is the best make up though isn't it?
  • hi girls, hope you are all ok...well after FINALLY sorting out my wardrobe i have come to the conclusion that most things are own are either too big or small or not really age suitable...i'm only 29 BUT i still want to dress young but after having on a trying on session last night came to the conclusion most of my wardrobe makes me look STOOPID :( argh!!! lots of listing on ebay i think and buying in some classics...i really want to follow fashion but i'm a size 18/20 and a lot of stuff just looks naff on me...i've got quite a classic 50's housewife/nigella shape so i think i'll stick to some Boden bit and bobs...

i've started reading my ex shopaholic book-it came this morning...Alexis Hall has been there and done it! so we can girls...it's a very good book and so heartbreakingly correct in places...i'm a book fiend i've been reading it the last 2 hours!!! on and off between taking kids to school and copious amounts of coffee...i can't recommend it enough.

anyway a NS day here i think...got too much house work to do so internet will be the last thing i look at tonight...

good luck all of you, you are all doing so well xx

I love the curvy Nigella type figure. I love that 1950s style of dressing.
Have you seen Joan from Madmen. I think its on Channel 4( but it might not be) There have been so many articles about her full, curvy figure. I have the bum, just wish I had the boobs. :D

Angela I love Soreen malt loaf with loads of butter and easily eat a whole one but 2 , love jam & clotted cream scones. Actually I just love all kinds of cake the only thing is as I am getting older I do not seem to be able to burn it off so quickly and have put on weight, ah well it will keep me warm in this cold weather :rotfl:

Hope so but the amount I normally do counteracts my occasional treats, not everyday.

Noticing all these 'no toiletry' etc challenges I think I'll have to start a no cakes, crisps or books one.

How did you get on today with M & S?

Ok well I had a semi successful day today.
    So
Todays budget was £15 as I had to go into Nottingham and I only spend £2 yesterday I think :S
    Bus fare £4.80
Pizza hut - i know i know. Bargain though nice dish of pasta, a portion of wedges a large coke and a sliver of cheesecake - a fiver :)

Ok so returned a ring that came broken.

Returned at the £1.92 - but the Debenhams lady made me exchange so had to put an extra £1.08 towards

Returned a coast clutch £47 coming back to me.

Brought some boots from Debenhams £26 - used voucher from Debenhams recieved for a complaint made, and £19 from some shoes. Leaving £3, so put an extra £1 in and brought a box of chocolates towards mothers day parcle. Boots as kind of necessary, my heels wearing down on my present ones, and as I have fat legs, very rare I find some boots that fit properly when ive got leggings on :)

Did have a moment of weakness in Coast though - £15. However I think I have an item or two to return to make up for it :) Plus it is a lovely pink coral colour, and fantastic sleeves so it will look really lovely for a job interview. Did however put a gorgeous jacket back in Newlook and a pretty shirt and a basque and another skirt which would have added up to £14 which isnt bad, but £14 to live in my wardrobe isnt good (buy one get one free on sale stock in notts branch :O)

    Total spend = £26.88

Not tooo bad - will return rest of Debenhams purchases via courier though to avoid this.
