Well done with your ebaying, FE, that is a great total so far.
I listed 50-ish items at the weekend. I find it really to sell the small things like books, CDs, makeup... it's large, highly priced items that I always avoid listing. **BUT** I did list a few of those at the weekend, so can only keep my fingers crossed that I get some bidders. I only have £11's-worth of bids so far.
My driving lesson was pretty good. Much better than the last instructor and I found myself driving all around town which was soo weird, but I did something so unbelievably stupid at the end of the lesson and caused my very own traffic jam as I struggled to get moving again. Let's hope that doesn't happen next time. I would like to know if anyone else did anything REALLY senseless during their driving lessons (something to make me feel better about my stupidity, lol).0 -
Hehe- i did the accelerator instead of brakes thng and it was a mess. Then i ground the gears for the rest of the lesson as i was so terrified i was pressing the brakes.
the teachers car needed a new gearbox soon after- he stopped me in town to tell me. Don't even worry about it.
I failed 5 times with alley docking (twice in one day at hte beginning)- we used to do it reversing between drums- i grazed the right side of the car enough times! Now i can reverse into a toght spot with my eyes closed- even better than my forwards parking!Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heavenMatthew 5:30 -
Evening ladies
Im currently walking round my bedroom in my new shoes that I ordered. I think keeping them would be very dangerous, there about a 5inch heel with a inch platform, and whilst comfortable, i can feel my ankles going over at any point lol.0 -
Hi all
NGlady whatever you do, don't have a load of alcohol wearing those shoes!
Well done CL on carrying on with your lessons. If you were a driver that never made a single mistake, then how can you ever know what to do if you pass the test and suddenly crunch your gears etc.
What you are calling mistakes are just part of the learning process.
(p.s. did I ever told you I never managed to pass my testnerves got the better of me everytime, I couldn't even sign my name at the beginning LOL)

Just a quick hello
I've thought of a little challange im going to have in July - this one is more of a diet one rather than a financial - I failed them in June lol. This time, I am going to try and implement a 'low fat range' policy into my diet - i.e I've just had a weight watchers blueberry muffin and my god, they taste as good as the 15gram of fat rivals. So I am going to let myself have my treats BUT theyve got to be from the good for u ranges and a strict 5gram per day of fat for treat policy.
On a slightly odd note. I've always been told coke zero - is diet coke for men, i.e men didnt want to be seen carrying a 'diet coke' bottle cos they see it as feminin so they brought it out with a black masculin image the same product. I dont like diet coke, but i love zero. is there an actual difference? lol. or am i wierd?
On another note - I apologise to the shops I go into later this afternoon, i've got an awful lot of 'coinage' i.e 20s and 10s im going to be spending ... whoops! wore my new linen dress yesterday, absoloutly in love with it, sooo comfortable. Ive decided to splash out on another.
Just to confuse Anglea - CL will understand tho lol. Last week, dorothy perkins had a sale on - 20% off all full price items. At same time, closer offered 25% off. There was a glitch, could use both together, SO effectively, 45% off approx. I brought a pair of trousers, worth £30 for £18. I dont like them, so going to return then, without receipt, saying I brought them full price. So effectively, getting 45% off todays dress too - im soo naughty hehe.0 -
LOL NGlady, I've read that last para about 3 times now
Coke Zero and diet coke. I didn't realise that men would be put off the diet version.
That's a good idea about having low fat options especially if they taste nice.
I don't know if you ever look at calories but I got a few shocks this week when I discovered how many calories were in bread.
Until my supermarket was taken over by Waitrose last year, I only ever bought Nimble I think it was under 50 cals a slice. Now I rarely find it so was flabbergasted by finding some bread I fancied that was about 290 cals a slice!! I had to put it back.
Those tortilla pancakes are also high, so is pitta bread - over 200 each.
I'm back on the cornflake sandwiches. Earlier in the week I had 3 bags of salt and vinegar crisps in one night and the next day had a migraine. I think there is a lesson to be learned.
I usually go out to lunch in a Saturday, but I'm staying in today because I suddenly remembered that on Monday when I planned to stay in all day to work on my form, I have to go out for the dentist.
NGlady - so you're using all your change to buy a new dress?
Hope the rest of you have a good day.0 -
Hi all,
Anglea... Sort of. But innocently. I popped into town this morning and ended up doing my monthly work food shop. I had every intention of taking my change, buying the food out that, and transfering the Money from wages on tues into my xmas account. But i forgot my change, used my notes and ended up with lots of coinage hehe0 -
Just an update before I go out tonight.
Bym texted me yesterday just saying he was sorry he wasn't able to come to see me.......a bit late to tell me that I think
Also, no message from Beau since Monday, but I see from facebook he has added two new friends today - and I've been online most of the day, even left a message for him......
I don't half pick them....might message the muse today, make it 3 in a row

Hi all
FR looking at Beau's FB reminds me horribly of that time you were looking at the dating site and knowing someone was there but not contacting you.
Was that BYM or someone else?
And as for the muse..............I'm sure you don't want to hear what I think about that.0 -

That would be Bym. I don't log onto the dating site anymore, I can see his profile and any changes without logging in but I don't want to see him on there.
Also, it took me 18 months to get a date on there (Bym) - ok, I turned some unsuitable ones down, but few and far between. The best I have done is found a friend on there who was only looking for friends.
So now I appear to have Bym and the muse who seem to just like to text me. And Beau who seems to have given up messaging me on facebook.
I did message the muse tonight (sorry Anglea). Told him I'd sort of acquired a boyfriend in Turkey. Not sure what he'll make of that, only told him in the last text I sent and he didn't respond to that one - at least he will know I am not hanging around waiting for him, though of course I only did it to get a response. Not Rachmaninov
