    Hi all

That's strange about Birmingham, earlier in the week I mentioned it too LOL

Ziggles, that will be a very long journey for you.

NGlady - how much did you drink?

    Hiya
just had a macdonalds chisken sandwich with fries and a crunchie mcflurry! Yummy! i don't have them often but when i do have macdonald a couple of times a year it's always delish! prefer burger king though.
Well Birmingham it is ladies! I am very excited. I'm going on the bus overnight on wednesday. I do the same for the london trip sometimes so i'm used to it- MUCH cheaper too i find. My only problem is that i'll be arriving at the crack of dawn- hopefully my rellies can pick me up or i'll spend the day wandering around town- maybe even go to cadburyland- does it still exist?
@Frogletina I'll let you know what the plan is.
@Anglea- i was only restrained cos we went in at chucking out time. There were soo many things i wanted to buy- even with no money to spare! As for the eye pain at the back can sometimes be pressure related- do you have any problems wirh high blood pressure- you may want to get checked out?

    Hi all

Definitely on a spending spree recently

Bought 3 dresses and a top in Debenhams with loads of accessories this week for my holiday.

Then yesterday went for a session with an Acupuncturist. Used to go there quite a while a few years ago.

Also as previously said I went to the ballet in Birmingham and hope to go again next week. I also had a meal in the ekachai noodle bar in Selfridges.

    thai green curry
traditional thai green curry cooked with thai aubergines, bamboo shoots and mixed peppers. served with steamed rice and mixed leaves salad
    vegetable and tofu v

I love that store Ziggles - it's a really nice place to go, lots of different eateries within the store - and Krispy Kreme doughnuts!

I have another acupuncture session next week and today have booked a session with an osteopath - again for next week.

I have not kept a spending log this month - will have exceeded my income massively - so my savings will be more than a little depleted. I just keep handing over my debit card.

If no restrictions on money, thinking of Mrs B, I'd travel first class by train every time, always buy the expensive seats at the ballet and let someone else run around choosing clothes for me - I'm not very good at knowing what suits me. My daughter helped me again this time!

Hi Frog - this is getting rather similar now lol.

We also went to the noodle bar - its yummy! I had dumplings other half had spring rolls and we shared, I loved them but wasnt too keen on how quick they came out followed by main, couldnt really savour the taste, and when spending so much money you want to. Followed by a noodle dish - other half had thai green curry!

What sort of time did you go??

Yep.. I think that too - if I had mrs Bs money I would simply 'explore' I would go everywhere learn lots of new tallents, i.e cookery, massage etc etc.

Where was the ballet? Pete was at the NEC.

I had a hang over recovery Krispy Kreme today!

Regarding wanting somebody to look at clothes for you - in the Bullring Debenhams, on the third floor they do a 'personal shopper' experience where they look at what suits u etc and give u lots of advise. I had a nose in the room today and it looks really nice and relaxed. Ill let you know the liverpool one goes :)

I drank.. I dont know how much... quite a lot lol.

    Hi Nglady

    What a coincidence!

The ballet finished at 5. It was at the Birmingham Hippodrome which is not far from Selfridges. I was at the Noodle bar at about 6.00, it was busy when I first got there so I went around the shop first.

I didn't have a starter, as I know from experience that the food is filling and I could not finish all of my rice as it was. I never cook tofu at home but think it is wonderful the way they do it.

I have wondered about the personal shopper in Debenhams. I popped in there too this time to pay off my Debenhams card. I always pay it in full - was quite shocked to see the minimum payment was £5, no wonder people get into debt easily

Did I tell you that I was aware that Beau is rather a scallywag? Not sure how things will be when I go back to Turkey. I have been hearing even more things about him that I won't put on here but have made me more wary of any involvement with him -c'est la vie

On the other hand, Bym says he will definitely come back to see me in Coventry, so watch this space..............

Nglady - we probably passed as I was at the noodle bar when there was a queue earlier than 6, and went away again till it died down!

Regarding Beau - sorry I can't be more explicit, I wasn't meaning player when I said he was a scallywag, as I've not heard any rumours of him linked to any other women. But I have reasons to be wary.

    Hi all

Do you still like all your new purchases now you're home?

Isn't he supposed to be meeting you at the airport?

I still like all of my clothes - still need some new sandals

Beau does want to meet me at the airport, but I said I'd already arranged a transfer. I have sort of, it is just not confirmed yet.

The other thing is that petrol costs are so high so I'd have to pay him/friend of his (doubt he has a car) the same as a transfer would cost and if he wasn't at the airport when I arrived his English is so poor that it would be hard to ring him for information, and what if the plane is delayed? I don't think it would be fair on him, it's only 25 minutes to the town and I have said I will meet him as soon as I can once I am there and have put my cases in my room.

I'm right in the centre of the town so he could arrange to be at the bar across the road when I get there. But that could be 2am, still I'm usually up until about 3 when on holiday! :j
