Hi ladies,
Pretty uneventful day for me... posting ebay sales and pottering around the house. Currently wishing I hadn't bid on something on ebay, praying that someone will outbid me.
I never learn - most of the stuff I sell are misfits from ebay, yet I keep on being tempted.0 -
MORNING GIRLIES!

Hi Nglady and all
I should be packing for my holiday, but not yet started - my spare bed is covered in clothes. Bought a couple of nice tops yesterday which cost me a fortune even in the Debenhams sale. But I also got a necklace for £2 which will go lovely with one of the tops.
Quick update! Bym phoned me on Tuesday, I was very surprised by this turn of events - we won't be seeing each other before my holiday but all seems very promising

Afternoon ladies,
I went to another city yesterday and it was great - I did a little shoppingI brought a lovely Oasis dress - but discovered when i got home it gave me a backrack and another two dresses from primark. In the end ive decided to just keep one of the dresses from Primark - so I travelled quite a distance and came back with something i could get from my local town lol.
good job ive decided to return the others though, ive fallen in love with a bunch of stuff online - whops.
got a wonderbra for £11pounds something- amazing huh?
Also managed to get over my big fashion problem - I FOUND SOME TIGHTS THAT FIT PROPERLY!!!
overall - stuff going pretty good0 -
Hi all
I haven't been telling you off for anything this week:) as my computer packed up. Very strange not to go online for 7 days, I decided against going to the library and use one of their computers.
Overdid CSI and Numbers in the meantime and I was starting to imagine the conversations from my forums in my head! Didn't imagine we'd be hearing about BYM again though........
Frogletina, I hope there is still time to wish you a lovely holiday.
NG, I hope your Princess tin get's a lot of use.
Yes I also wonder what happened to the other regulars, was it VG who used to talk about the FWB's?
CL- what happened with Ebay in the end?
I've found an amazing alternative to crisps, this might sound a bit gross but it works. I had a crisps binge (2 massive bags of Walkers double crunch) and when they ran out I was craving more. Determined not to buy some the next day, as a joke, I made myself a sandwich and put in mustard on one slice then added some cornflakes, then the ham and salad and squashed it all together. I thought I'd have to chuck it out, however,.............it tasted really good, now I'm adding cornflakes to sandwiches every day :rotfl: got to add mustard though or it will taste a bit strange.0 -
Anglea, cornflake mustard and ham sandwhiches, is there an announcement you would like to make here
I think it was VG yes - they should all come back to us, then we would never have to leave the forum lol.
Well, my Princess tin is having daily use - I am intending even if its just a few scrap pence a day to put any stray coins in my purse in there, a couple of pound coins on occasion but mainly 5s and 10s etc. I think if I go overboard ill know theres a large amount on my windowsill and it'll get tempting like it used to and ill open it but by only being a smallish amount as far as im aware I may save this until my xmas shopping time! if that doesnt sound odd?0 -
Hi all
Today I had coronation tuna, salad, mustard and cornflake toasted sandwich - REALLY GOOD :T I wish I'd come across this idea before it would have saved all the extra layer on my tum.
NGlady, I think it's a good idea to think longterm with the coppers in your tin. I think you'll get a big surprise by December.
I'm going to try and reduce expenses with books, snacks etc and make a note of what I DIDN'T SPEND then put that amount at the end of the week into my tin.
I've now found a solicitor. Anyone thinking of getting a career change, perhaps you ought to do law, fees that I'm going to be charged  I thought that was bad enough until I discovered you also have to pay VAT  :eek:0 -
NGlady, I've been really slow on the uptake today as I've only just realised what you meant by your comment if I had an announcement to make LOL
I thought you meant something completely different like patenting the sandwich!
No patter of tiny feet. Can you imagine all the moaning about weight gain and misfits if that happened?0 -
Hi Anglea, yes I can imagin the posts on here if you was pregnant
I am so tierd tonight, really long day at work today/:)
Just in the process of finishing my June budgetting - all seeming good, then its just a case of sorting my monthly spends 'analysis' out for May - and working out how much ive managed to keep hold of this month. It's getting quiet complicated as i've brought several large orders ready to try on at home and work out the best size for me, so ive got stuff coming in and out all over the place. SO next month im going to quit the returns and takings back just to save a couple of pounds if it goes into the sale, its taking so much time up and organisation right now i just dont have the ability to do so if i dont save at least £10 by doing it, then im not doing it. I dont really know where I am with my finances half the time.
IF i remember rightly, last month, I said my challanges were going to be:
Write down every penny spent - managed it.
Buy a money tin - managed it... what a thrill daily popping a few pence in there, im odd.
cant remember the rest of my challanges:
Next months financial challanges will probably be:- Continue with a daily contribution to the money tin - even if its just 20pence by christmas this will be £36 and will buy me a couple of xmas gifts.
- Buy a file - and for the first time in forever start to keep bank statements.
- Keep doing my writing down of every penny spent.
- Try to have a little money left at the end of the month to put a second contribution to my savings - even if its just £5
- Deal with my savings - putting the relivent amounts in relivent savings accounts
- Minimise my returns
- To save waiting for money to go in and out of the account, whenever possible, buy things in cash mullah this will help me be more in control
- and whilst i did keep record of it this month, try even harder next month to keep a record of finances in and out and try and keep my money diaries neater!!
