    Hi all

CL and NGlady, you are both such lovely girls to be so concerned about your mums.

CL are you spending more recently because of worry?

Today after being in agony with feet over the weekend (after enduring it for a couple of months) I finally made an emergency dr. appt and found out I have plantar fascitis.

Any of you had that before?

Oh dear- well at least you have a diagnosis now. Never heard of it. What is it?

Hi ziggles, dare I ask you about fudge? :)

PF is when you get up in the morning and can't put your foot down. All day the heels feel like you've been wearing new shoes and have blistered, ankle hurts, back of calf tightens, red and sore everywhere. Hard to crouch as you get pains under the toes.

Advice I've been given is to wear trainers, heel inserts and do special excercises.

NGlady, have a lovely time away, don't do anything too naughty :)
  • Hi ladies,

NG - you don't sound daft at all, especially as someone you know has been affected by anaesthetic. I'm sure she'll be fine though xx

I know my mum definitely isn't worried (easy to tell when she is), she says she enjoys the rest and getting her dinner cooked in hospital!!! LOL.

Enjoy your meal, NG. I thought the Groupon deals only lasted 24 hours, but maybe not if you can still get the Nica one??

Anglea: I'm not worried - not that I'm aware of anyway. I am incredibly moody though, and I feel sorry for everyone who comes into contact with me as I'm like a woman possessed.

I hope your foot condition improves with different shoes. I would hate to not be able to wear the shoes that I like. I live in completely flat shoes (and will probably suffer for it when I am older!)

I'm feeling increasingly frustrated by the lack of things that suit my shape/height. I want to be able to wear all those cute, flowing, gypsy-style tops that people are wearing, but they never fit me (they're always so short). I guess I want to be able to wear the fashion, but they don't seem to cater for anyone over 5ft9. Even the stuff in the tall ranges is dire - they've had the same boring stock since well before xmas.

    Same old story, eh!

On my hit list of necessities to be bought is a new pair of running shoes. M&Mdirect has a sale on the moment so I will order a few pairs and hope that one of them fits.

    HeHe - don't worry Anglea I will..

I know what you mean CL - the day mum goes in I will be like a bear on the first day of its period with a bad hair day, wearing something that makes him look super-big and has just spilt a yoghurt down it. I don't really know how ill cope that day, but ill go in and keep batteling along!

    Super women :)

i've fallen in love with a car!!!

    A beatle!!!!!

i thought they would be too expensive to insure but there not :O and there fairly cheap to buy second hand.

    So....

I have £209 left in my current account until thursday - I am intending to be very good and go to the bank on my minibreak on thursday morning and transfer a good £150 to beatle fund :D

hehe NG, you'll be fine! I'll have to look after my lot while my mum's in hospital... urgh. Luckily they're at an age where they can (just about!) feed themselves so it's not really babysitting as such.

Beetles are cute cars! I like the older style better but the modern ones are nice too. How are your driving lessons going (I think you said you were doing some?)?

I sold something today and made £135 so that makes my spends this month seem not-so bad. I have quite a bit more to sell and return this week though before I can feel totally guilt-free!

I was going to write about my shopping today, but now it will just be in brief, £50 including 2 bottles of champagne (well they were a bargain at £10 each) I've also booked another holiday to Turkey in July for 3 weeks - £211 for the flight but I have not booked a hotel yet.

What I really want to do is tell you about someone I have been talking to via the dating site I am on.

I suppose I need to give him an alias, so I will call him BYM (beautiful young man). I was the one who made first contact with him, just a comment on something he wrote on his profile, for which he thanked me. What followed on from that has been quite amazing.

We've had the most wonderful conversations as diverse as tea and unrequited love, I have told him about the muse, and he understands completely.

We both write, and I have sent him some of my poems and he in return has sent me some of his beautiful words, though he doesn't call them poems. I have also written a new poem which was inspired by something he said.

This is the beginning of what I think will be a very beautiful friendship.

    Hi all

That's lovely Frogletina. He sounds very nice. Although I hope he doesn't turn into another one like your muse.

So the champagne will be useful if you both meet up.

NGlady saving for a car is a good idea for you.

CL - well done on your sales
