Hi ladies.
Yes BB was home and did as he promised and the meal was loverly:). Very good even for my fussy standards. But i have to say i am not so keen on him anymore- you know when someone just talks and talks and you find you are not liking them more and more each minute...yeah. So Anglea maybe some of your lecturing had a residual effect. we are sooo different it would never work and he is not someone i could see myself with in the long term. While i'm very attractred to him- we sadly have no chemistry i think, I am not sure how i feel about this realisation yet though:(
But on a happier note- i shall be seeing fwb tomorrow and he our chemistry is fantastic...and he always makes me feel good so happy days:D
Dad hasn't brought the dongle so not impressed but he'll send it to me in the week and he's offered me his fancy laptop too...yippee!
On a more MSE note, Guys i am not doing very well with my money- i hope it's just that i'm settling into my new life. I may have to start doing thins absolutely by the book now as it won't be pretty in the not so long term.
have a great weekend lovelies mwah!Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heavenMatthew 5:30 -
Evening ladies -
Gosh my feet are hurting me after today! I have had a lovely day including a dinner on the river front in the beautiful sun and a bit of shopping with my lovely bfperfect day.
Decided it would be good idea to wear my wedges - which it was a good idea. I walked on them for about 3hrs, but then put my flats on and i think they've blisted my feet.
I brought a lovely midi dress from Primark, in consideration whether at 5ft4 and a size 16 i should wear iti do love it though and feels comfortable on
so stuff it! the benefits of primark
Currently trying to do my budget as not going out tonight. Quite hard as I havnt got my wage slip yet, and I get paid slightly different amounts each month as I get part commision.
need to do my budget a little better this month. I completely forgot about bank holiday when doing it last month so havn't exactly allowed myself enough. annoying. but a lesson. i'm going to allow myself to use my other account but every penny used im going to put back on payday so going to force carefulness
I did £70odd returns to day, u just know the moneys going to go in on payday when whilst obviously its just as important, it wont be as useful as when im away for the night day before payday.. typical lol.
On another note - hope everybody else is enjoying bank holidayim having a really lovely time

Hi girls
I was out all day today - late breakfast out then pub  and guess where I've just been this evening - again.
Very unusual for me. Last night I went with ds1. Today I was with him again and this evening with ds2 and ex who was a bit surprised by my invitation.
NGlady £70 returns !!! How much did you spend in the first place I wonder?? Glad you had a lovely day, I empathise with the feet, mine are in a bad way too.
Ziggles, at least BB turned up and you had a nice meal and now you know he's not your type. How are you enjoying living away from home?
Something has just made me laugh. During the day ds1 was getting annoyed he couldn't do his work he brought with him because he forgot to bring his usb stick. Just before ex left tonight he suddenly said about ds 'he's forgotten his dongle' You can imagine what I was thinking after that conversation with ziggles.
I feel like binning my clothes. Talk about a clothes crisis  I think I know what most of the problems are now. Because I've got a foot condition, I can only wear shoes or sandals that have certain types of soles (a lot like trainers) so obviously don't go with all types of clothes. When it was raining I could get away with smart boots but now it's warmer I'm in problems. I might have to change my look to the fitness instructor imageneed to lose about 7lbs to look better..

Anglea, unfortunatly I only spent around £70.. im finding nothing really that I bring home and continue my love affair with at the moment so im back to doing an awful lot of returns. starting to feel guilty when i have to do them in the same store time...after...time lol.
Currently perving at a grupon £10 for a £30 spend at Nica - deciding whether A: its justifyable B: I need a new bag C: whether to get one and get my mum a lovely pressie for after she gets out of hospital
my friend made a suggestion yesterday - for every £ i spend on something luxury/something i dont really need I have to also have a £ to put into my savings tin. So for example a £20 top becomes £40 and a £1.50 Magazine means £3- she said it'll soon make me skint, but it makes you really think about what I really want and what I dont. Im considering doing a type of this first month - every £1 i spend I have to put 25p away. I don't want to go crazy with this challange, as in my eyes if i do this its doomed for failure0 -
Hi all
How's your mum Nglady?
That's a good idea from your friend but I can see why you want to start small instead of putting away an identical amount.
On the subject of savings and having a fear about easy access there is also a Christmas account in the Post office which you can't access until late in the year, or buy some premium bonds.0 -
Oooo Anglea - that christmas savings account sounds very interesting, shall have to give it a proper look over. Always mean to try and save some for xmas, but whenever I do it it is always in such a tempting place i.e in my box or something. will toddle off and research it in a mo
Mums doing OK - her operation isnt for about 2 weeks yet. But i know this sounds daft. Shes suprising me how calm shes being about it. I know its quite a routine operation (she had a relapse, so shes having an operaiton to fix this and also a hysterectimy at the same time) but if it was me i would be doing my nut. before i knew date of her op i booked tickets to go to london on the saturday her op is the day before, she nearly fell out with me the other day cos im canxing the london trip to go see her0 -
Hi all,
NG: your mum's reaction sounds a bit like mine. Mine is going for an op in the next few weeks too (v routine thing, nothing awful) and she's so calm. I guess she's had so many kids, operations, etc, that it doesn't even bother her anymore!
Anglea: hope you had a nice evening (I read about you & your Scrumpy!). I do love cider, it was always my drink of choice.
My spends are off the rail this month. Worst month of 2011 by far. I have so many returns to do if I want to get my spends down to an acceptable amount this month...0 -
CL - i know this sounds daft. But when my mums being so strong so blaize ahout it, it worries me more, cos i think is she just pretending to be brave and is really as scared as I would be about it.
I know what you mean though, shes had four kids and a couple of other minor operations over her 60 something years shes not new to it, but my logic is every time its a new thing, its a new risk. Scared me that my friends mum lost her short-term memory from a very simple routine operation that required annesthetic and she never regained who she was. but chances of that are like 1 in a billion0
