    Hi girls

CL, like NG, I thought you lived down south somewhere.

Yes I do live in Somerset. As to me being posh :) I do have some interesting connections via relatives who married into aristocracy but as to me...LOL

Ziggy - you naughty girl with all that fudge, I'm surprised you weren't sick :rotfl:

CL - £ 200  but you're returning it all?

You have taken the 'return queen' title from NG :)

Jewellery - it's not long CL to the end of the month.

Jobs - I used to advertise for volunteers on a special voluntary work site nationwide, totally forgotten the name of it though. I'll see if I can find it again.

Right, NG and Frogletina - no fizzy drinks for you until March.

Met a friend today for lunch - spent £7.70, on veggie burger, chips, salad and coleslaw. Also herbal tea. £1.70 on one herbal teabag! What a price!

I gave her the last chocolates I had in the house, so no more temptation with those while I am trying to lose weight

    Hi all

That sounds like a nice lunch.

I stayed in today and caught up with a few things, even managed to do a 'back burner' eg something that has been on my list for ages and gets avoided on purpose.

Frogletina - any fizzies in the house today?

It's the first day of the challenge, how did everyone get on?

No fizzies in the house except some tonic water that I keep to go with an occassional martini. I think there is a bottle of schloer as well from Christmas, but definately no diet coke!

I am out again this evening so I will have to find something new to drink there, not sure what. Had an orange juice out last night but it wasn't that nice (cheap carton), might even just have a bottled water. Guess you can tell it's not the drinking I go out for!

I have things on my 'list' that I really should do. The effort I put into avoiding things and the stress that they are not done is really stupid. I should crack down this week and tackle them, and it would help me to relax not having them on my mind

    Well done Frogletina.

And Ziggles, I bet your stomach is pleased you didn't binge :)
  • Hi ladies,

ziggles: well done on resisting the fudge (& the temptation to binge).

I bought four energy drinks yesterday, with the intention of having one each day... and I've drunk them all. Good job they were 4 for £1 and not £1/each like my usual Red Bull sugarfree. Maybe I should give those up until the end of the month???

Anyway, I went out into town on my own yesterday to get some shopping for my nan and didn't buy very much for myself - just a deodorant (even though I already have two spares) and the energy drinks. Oh, and £14-ish spent on posting some stuff out that I sold. I also returned the Topshop items via the Post Office.

I have to say that I'm definitely getting rid of more things than I'm bringing in, so that's a plus. I would love to be at the stage where I only had stuff that I wear, love or use. Imagine that. I am going to tackle my dvd pile today and see if there's anything that I'm willing to part with.

Anglea: was the site do-it.org? I've seen that one, and a few others... a lot of the vacancies in my town are for charity shops though, not many admin or finance roles unless I go further afield.
  • Hi guys.
day 2 and all is well here. No munching, but tuesdays i go out in the evening so it's not a dange time. but i do have to have pudding when i get back at 9!
CL- All you can do is keep trying. Glad you're making headway on getting rid of stuff! And you've inspired me to get all those pesky cd's and dvds that are just sitting there on music magpie!
As for 4 energy drinks in one day...WOW!!!! I'd be vibrating on the inside if i was you! I feel like that sometimes when i get the coffee dosage wrong at work and it's so wierd being wired. I'm not good with it as i'm such a lazy mare!
Anglea- How are you? It's great being back on here. even if it is just me putting in my two cents worth :-). My tummy doen't really mind the munching...i'm an old pro...it's just the scales that aren't loving it. Also had a wee blood pressure scare last week so my bum is well and truly kicked!
Everyone else- i hope you're well and have a nice hump day!

    Hi all

Frogletina I hope you find a nice drink that you can enjoy when you are out.

CL, that vol site wasn't Do-it, I'll see if I can remember what it was.

LOL your energy drink binge sounds a lot like my snack attack. Why do you think you drank them so fast?

Good luck for your 'wear, love and use' project. That is so hard to do for a lot of people.

Yesterday I had an idea to declutter a drawer as I had got a few nice biscuit tins which I planned to store some documents and put back in the drawer. OMG - what a shock when I started taking out the documents - I had no idea most of it was there. There was no way I could tidy it up without spending a few hours.

So I put some of the stuff in the 2nd tin and decided to put it in another drawer that was nearly empty. Well it might have been empty about 5 years back, now it was full of crap

I can't stand all this clutter, it does make you feel really exhausted just looking at it. So I've left it all for another time.

I seriously overdid Doritos (massive bag) and flavoured crinkled biscuits to say the least! Last night before bed I had 3 packs of cheese ones in one go  You can imagine my mouth this morning!

In future I'm only going to buy small single packs.

ziggles I'm pleased you are glad to be back here. Do you have the pudding at night because you don't eat enough beforehand?

NG I hope you have started your works drink challenge.
