Hi all
FE glad you had a really good time, did you get RS's autography by any chance?
NGlady - I think you need to set a NVQ on returns
I wonder how tired you are? 0 -
Good evening girls
WOW it's mighty quiet around here at the moment, wheres Morocha and completelost hiding?
As I said above, had a really fantastic day out in Liverpool allbeit very tiring. First of all wanted to do a Next return, but i've mislaid the receipt somewhere and the amount they wanted to give me back (spent £31) was less than £15 so to be honest, I decided to stuff that idea and I am now keeping them in the hope they fit me soon
Brought some linen trousers - and yep as Angela said they crease really well lol. Seems the ones I brought last year was magic
Also brought some leggings - both from next £28
Then I went to Accessorize and brought a really gorgeous Waiste belt £7.50
Then I went into french connection and tried a really lovely white dress on - and was VERY tempted. But I didn't. So I got a bit lost trying to find the train station on the way back, ended up going by Ollie and Nic handbag shop and brought a very gorgeous lilacy coloured leather bag £38 :O
The bag is fantastic though - the design is perfect. I am always very worried about my purse being nicked, so theres a little purse inside which is attached to the zip but can be unattached to be put into other bags, this REALLY sold me the bag to be honest.
My feet was hurting me so much though. I only sat down for half an hour to eat my Lunch, went into a burrito place in the end. Was going to go to Nandos but it was busy and I didn't fancy spending £12 on some food, so spent £6 - yay me. Was also hungry later in the day, so instead of old Laura style who would have nipped into KFC, I went into boots and got a low fat sarnie and a low fat shapers crisps and water
Was very pleased with myself and it was on the sale @ £2!
Brought a new book too
Was going to buy some more magazines but I thought going to need a new book in a couple of weeks so £3.50
Total is £84.50 - but I returned something for £12 to Coast. So overall £72.50
I did buy a dress from warehouse whilst I was there, but tried it on in a changing room and it just wasn't right, it was a beach wear maxi dress and I thought it was a normal maxi so wasn't fit for the purpose I need
so returned it whilst I was there

Anglea, I didn't meet Rod Stewart, no. But I did meet NG, who's just as much a star!!

I'm laying low and trying to save some money (as if!) at the moment.0 -
It was nice to meet you too FE
thanks again for showing me around, meant I only got lost for a little bit of time. BUT when uve done it once, its so obvious how it all just leads onto each other isnt it lol. Get us little travel across country for a couple of hours people lol. Learning to be 'good with money'0 -
I hate this site when it doesn't put my msgs on!!! I wrote one before and it hasn't saved

It was nice to meet you to FE - thanks again for showing me around Liverpool
I did manage to get a bit lost on the way back to the station but asked a rather lovely copper for direction lol. When you think about it, it all kind of links onto each other doesn't it
Yep save your money and get BOTH them dresses
hehe
Angela... btw FE was a bad influence in the shopping!!Learning to be 'good with money'0 -

NGlady - When I read FE's post about meeting NG I didn't realise it meant you until I read your post. I thought NG was something like Souk writes when she shortens words e.g. FWB

So you two met up!!! How exciting. I wonder if you are the first two on this thread - anyone met up and not written about it?
I've also been wondering where everyone one has gone to lately strange that Completely lost has been so quiet. Are you still doing your running CL?
Sounds like you needed a rest after all that walking. I could be telling you off, like I normally do
, except this evening I watched 2 episodes of Sweet Sixteen UK, and still in shock at the expensive pressies and outfits so you've got away with it this time! 0 -
Oh that sounds like my sort of programme Angela
What Channel?
Learning to be 'good with money'0 -
It's on mtv. I watched it on Freeview - Viva - channel 21. Some of those kids are so nasty and rude to their parents if they can't get what they want. And real attention seekers, it makes you cringe because they can't see how awful (embarassing) they come across on screen. They all say they want to be the centre of attention the whole time and will have the best of everything, money no object.
I also cringe when I watch 'Teen Cribs' on the same channel, but for different reasons.0 -
So, what kind of Saturday did you all have?
I spent a bit on all sorts of things that I'd run out of and hadn't bought in ages, ended up with 4 heavy bags to lug home. So didn't go into any clothes or book shops and ate my lunch out.0
