New year, New me (finally)

  • Sorry, me again.

I decided that I'm keeping one of my new years resolutions (taking no crap) and have reported the person. Drama queen though not on the end of the scale of abuse, is still a rather thoughtless thing to say. Debt is a sensitive issue, I wouldn't want them to upset anyone else. Why do people feel the need to be like that?

I know I'm not a drama queen. I've been through a lot and just want to come out the other side of it. So naturally anything that looks like it will delay that process further, is going to be upsetting.

Anyway, enough of them, I'm going to get on with my day!

  • Right,

Just got my last few supplies in. Chocolate for the three weeks, and lady pain pills. Now Virgin card is about to meet an untimely death. I'm cutting it up. Already done that with the Barclaycard earlier this morning. Then the phonecall to freeze the card. Finally I'm going to be free.

    :)

  • Was going to have a last splurge on some Dewberry shower gel. That was the scent of my teenage years, as well as White musk. I figure enough people will vote for it to stay, so that I can get some when I have the money. Have entered the competition to win a years supply too. Right, now onto cutting up that credit card, then the joy of handwashing my clothes for next week. The washing machine isn't draining, and don't want to disturb the landlord on a sunday (besides the place needs a good clean before we invite him in, best get onto that now!)

    Freeze Virgin card. Wahoo!

Interim ADR following unsuccessful escape my job test. Interesting!

Have a good day everyone. Actually going to enjoy not having to fight the crowds for my shopping fix, at lunch today.

  • Turned out to be a good day in the end. Froze the Virgin card, enjoyed lunchtime getting eyebrows threaded for free and got a free sample of Dewberry showergel. Mmmm!

    Calories consumed-trillions. Pennies spend £o.oo.

Have pinned a picture of a house we could afford in a couple of years time on my pinboard at work, to remind me of the end goal. Interim ADR went ok, and although I didn't pass the test, the feedback was positive, so have no problem in applying for other better paying jobs.

Its actually nice not having the worry of resisting spending. Gradually getting used to not spending and enjoying time instead reading books.

  • Day two of the week, and 17 days till payday. Its going to be a good one. Stepping up the job hunt campaign today. Have some Project Management training coming up at work soon. Just wish I could afford to get studying again.

  • Currently seeking solace in a bag of cheesy poofs. Came head to head with one of the guys who used to work at my old place, where I had to go on garden leave because it was making me ill. Awkward conversation or what. I want a big blanket and hugs :(

  • This is getting easier, but I won't say it's easy. Always tempted, but big thing that put me off tonight is that washing machine is broken, and looks like we need to foot the cost. Not used to the whole landlord thing as it is, can't wait till I own again, and the money is going onto 'our' house, not lining the pocket of someone who already has one, and plenty of money besides.

Every time I think about buying 'that' must have facecream, I picture it mentally as a step away from getting our house together. I'll work through it, and I'll enjoy it at the end.

    :)
