OK, change of plan. Just saw a soft touch cardi for £6 George at Asda. I had my one before this from there, and had it for years. Asda it is then. £6 is far more like my kinda money.

    :)

    Morning everyone

Well, we're halfway through the week. Need to have another productive day today. Three more weeks till the next payday, more crumbling of totals. I can do it.

Had a really lovely thought yesterday. Although sometimes I don't hit the target that I want to knock off this lot. I've made a start and I've changed my spending ways, so one day it is a certainty that I will be debt free.Hmmm that's a nice feeling.

I've enjoyed buying myself a few new things this month. Some of them have been essential as older stuff has finally fallen apart. As long as I keep it sensible, then everything will be fine. Another 5 years time, and my life will be completely different.

    :)

Today was fairly so, so. Nothing major happened. Finished the ADR and sent that off, got well under way with the ILM. Going to take dress back and possibly sell Jimmys. I'd quite like to knock just a little bit more off that total. I think now the end is almost in sight (well ok, there's a bit of a way to go yet. My life is starting to make a lot more sense, and I'm going back to being the girl I used to be-1 pair of jeans, head in the books, not in the mirror, and it feels good. More honest.

Note to self. Must get moth deterrants. Just squished my first little baby clothes moth. You can keep you little gnashers off my garments!!! Little critters made a right old mess of one of my cardis last year. Not this time.

    Morning everyone.

I'm going to have a productive one today. My tasks are

    1. Find a cheap black cardigan
    2. Get clay powder for home made face masks
    3. Get dried lavender or lavender oil to keep those pesky moths at bay

A day off all to myself, and I'm having doubts as to whether I want to go into town for some retail therapy. Already decided against going on the train to another town as it's too expensive. I'm clearly not well :)

Well I had a very fabulous day off and all done for a very MSE £6.74

    • Walk into town-no parking fees, plus fat busting points-free
    • Breakfast in Costa-hot water-free, chocolate twist £1.80
    • Wander round shops, couldn't find a black cardi I liked-free
    • Bought lunch from M&S roll, crisps and a drink for £3.24, ate this in the town square by the fountain-very nice-location free
    • Second quest for cardi-found in h&m £9.99-will buy another day just incase a cheaper one comes up
    • watched free fashion catwalk in shopping centre
    • Hot water and muffin in costa-hot water-free, muffin £1.70, looked for £1 penguin classics-ok I'm out of touch, it was ten years ago when I used to buy these for English Literature classes, safe to say they're not £1 anymore, so will get out of the library for free.
    • Walked to museum and killed 1/2 hr waiting for OH to come out of work, saw lots of impressionist paintings, v nice-entry free.
Had the most awesome relaxing day, and hardly spent a penny (I could have saved more by having a filling breakfast at home, and bringing a bottle of water and sandwiches with me, but the damage wasn't too bad for 8 1/2 hours out of the house.

Also put a £2.50 necklace back on the shelf in Primark, because I didn't need it. I can feel the old tight me coming back.

    :)

Rough December 2010 total. Just keep this in mind Thrifty, just keep this in mind. Tomorrow, apart from buying newspaper to get mostly freebie Bodyshop gift (useful bday presents), I will be taking my purse out of my bag for the next three weeks until payday. Scary, but challenging.

Next approaches are to be thrifty with smellies etc on my use it up, and wear it till it's worn out year.

Face scrub-olive oil and sea salt-have both in the house, so no more spending needed there :)

Purchases for rest of year- New tights for the winter £10 budget

New smalls (well larges in my case) £10

new jumpers- going to get these now in the sales whilst everyone is in summer buying mode-£20 total

    re-heel boots x 2-£20

    2 basic summer t-shirts-£10

    1 x long sleeve black t-£10

    1x cotton black cardi-£10

    4 pairs new socks-£5

£85 total spend, should last me through to May 2011.
