Crikey Psycho, you must be getting sooooooooo much done with no internet! :D

Just called Northern Rock to check the current outstanding balance on my mortgage. The unsecured bit (which is the bit in my siggie) is currently sitting at £2,633.83. Currently all of my mortgage overpayement is going to that. (When my fixed rate came to an end and the mortgage rate actually fell, I kept up the same amount I've been paying since I first took it out because I know what I am like! That extra £100ish would disappear into the depths of my bank accounts somewhere never to be seen again!)

    So 3242.20
    -2633.83
= 608.37 can be subtracted from my current running total.
    £16,354.18

You guys are great for keeping me [STRIKE]obsessed[/STRIKE] focused. :D Thank you!

Can't catch up properly as still no Internet but yu are welcome here nic and if I can helpyou out with flights let me know. Failing that if you end up down this way anywhere I'm sure me and Maty could meet you for dinner.

Maty, what are you doing on April 12th?

Yes to meeting Nicca for dinner if she is close by :D

12th - I need to check with OH, we may be in Southampton for the night. Which reminds me, anyone heard from SB? No reply to email and she hasn't posted for a while. Will call if nobody else has heard from her.

Psycho, you gave me other April dates, can't remember which, but I am busy 17th/18th but all other weekend dates are OK ;)

  • 15-16 I'll be in Luton! Let me know about 12th, I'm in Luton for my cabin manager interview.

Can't wait to get my Internet back, although its probably not a bad thing spending less time on it.

Just been for dinner with MrS and his dad... Hopefully I made an ok impression!

My friend has now persuaded me that it'll be cheaper to get a last minute holiday abroad for 7 nights so we might be doing that instead. I'm not great with beach holidays (hate sitting still for any length of time! I like to be going places and doing things. Especially when I'm somewhere new and there's places to explore) but from here we can probably get the cheapest deals to your Spanish resorts...

I'll keep you posted. And you can recommend any good reads to keep me occupied (because then I will be able to sit still for the entire length of time it takes me to read the book! ;)).

The RBS loan is currently sitting at £5,989.48. I have just rounded down the bills account to the nearest 100 and transferred £42.86 to RBS.

I've also just rounded down the "spending" account by transferring £381.32 to RBS. This is the account that has the just in case money for the water fiasco. About which I have still heard nothing.

So I have taken the executive decision based on thin air to transfer the emergency money to RBS by a 200-300 each month. At least that way if I do get an bill "out of the blue" in the next 3-4 months, I should be in a position to pay a couple of hundred off and then they'll just have to accept the rest in installments. Pesky housing associations! If only they were competent!

So anyway, once they clear, RBS will be sitting at £5,565.30. Closing that loan off can't come quick enough for my liking! I look forward to the day I write my letter to RBS saying I no longer wish to be lining the pockets of thier fat cats! :p

Psycho, good luck with the interview, even if you don't want it. :) And of course Mr S's Dad thought you were lovely; you are. :D (PS I'm debating whether to even bother to put myself through the pain of England v Scotland six nations. Scotland need to get their act together! And England are on the brink of a Grand Slam. Scotland don't stand a chance!)

PS I've lost track of my NSDs! I'm not sure what I managed at the beginning of the week! I know I've now more than 4 but I don't know how many more than 4!

I'm completely disorientated as I was up most of the night at second job so have slept most of today and I'm now grumpy that it's nearly 6.30pm and I'll have to go back to second job in a couple of hours. Where'd my weekend go?

My OH always complains that it is cheaper to go abroad than it is to stay here :D So get those flights booked and don't worry about it! I am another one that isn't good at sitting around on a beach or by a pool so if you are looking at Spain can you convince her to go somewhere like Barcelona? Lots to do and see and by the sea

Can't believe the weather you are having again :(

Debt busting is still going really well :T And the extra job is helping with that so don't be too grumpy  Although I suspect that is more to do with losing your weekend than the actual job IYSWIM

Bah to the factors :( But think your plan to pay in instalments is a good one - it's their fault that they aren't keeping you informed!

    Hey, nice going, nicca! :j

Meh, I officially HATE the Student Loans Co - bunch of thieving, lying unprofessional muppets. I DIDN'T know you could check SLC stuff online, though - your comments just prompted me to check, so guess what I'm going to be trying to do this evening? Ta, hon!

I hear what you say about not doing running - I love horse riding and swimming, but I do NOT like running. I don't like outdoor cycling, either, although I don't mid excercise bikes - work that out!

If you're ever down south along in the Berkshire area, that's where I am - can only offer a sofa bed and guaranteed cat cuddles, though ;)
Never underestimate the power of the techno-geek... ;)
