The change in mindset is quite amazing isn't it Nic. I've bought 6 jars of curry sauce today in M&S - half price 89p each, and that is ALL I bought in M&S.

Amsterdam this weekend. Staying at a friends on Thursday and leaving my car there and staying in the spare bed at the ex's apartment at the weekend for £0 (although I think I should offer something - as in money :D).

Looked at the bank balance (through one eye!) and although I am building debts at the moment, have about 3 weeks study, a lodger in place and about £1200 before I hit the buffers (and now 6 jars of curry sauce!)

Good luck with the assessments. I have a presentation to do a week on Thursday and a 4500 assignment on housing strategy for the following Thursday (900 words done )

Well done to your bank too.

We'll have no praising of the banks, thnk you very much, even if they did inadvertently do me a favour! (Besides, there's time yet for them to mess it up. We'll gloss over my ineptitude in the first instance. ;))

Well done Butti on not buying anything else in M&S. I usually always find a foccaia or sun-dried tomato bread thingy bob hurls itself through the air and into my basket and there's seems not to be a darn thing I can do about it!

Online assessments completed! That was mammoth! And now I'm feeling brain dead so I'm off to the gym to take out my grumpyness on some of thse machines that are supposed to be getting my arms to be strong and toned rather than feeble and skinny! :D

Just the case-study to go. (Gulp)

Looking at the bank balance with one eye and my glasses off is the done thing in this house :D You do seem to be doing brilliantly for a student though, most of them would have drunk the loans and overdraft for the year by now!

I do think you are both very brave (Yes Nic, I said brave not stupid) for all this studying. It is tough either giving up work and going back to studying or doing it and working full time. You have Mike's Mob behind you cheering you on :D

Never mind the cheering, what I need is someone who is good at deciding the strategic direction of a housing association!

    but thanks x

I'll happily decide the strategic direction of the housing association factoring my flat! It won't take me 4,500 words! ;)

I'm very sad! (Not in the unhappy sense!) I applied for the cash-back credt card in MArtin's email last week. And received an email this morning to say it's approved. So now I can make money on my supermarket and diesel spends. :D

    I was dead excited! :o :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Oh how times have changed! (I actually feel like I am being sent a very "grown-up" thing and will only be allowed to keep it if I'm on my very best behaviour! :rotfl: Which is essentially true I guess! :p)

Right... case-study women for goodness sake!!!!!

(PS It's been sunny in Glasgow today. I actually walked in a park without a proper coat and I had my sunglasses on! :D)

PPS Do you think I'd survive if I was told I could no longer use smileys? Or exclamation marks?

That's the case-study done. I wouldn't recommend doing it in three hours in the middle of the night before it's due! (It takes another two hours to correct it and type up the reference for a start. And your feet get freezing. And your nose cold. And your tummy rumbles when you want to go to sleep!)

Any-one want to take a bet on whether this one will pass on the first submission?!

(Butti - do not study the way I do!!!!)

Second job, as always, was fine. It's always just the thought of leaving the house to go to work that's the hard bit.

And yesterday was tough as I had a meeting in Edinburgh. Which according to google street map thingy bob was 15 minutes walk from the bus stop.

Aye right! 45 minutes and a few scenic detours later.... and the same on the way back...

In my heels :(. I was a hobbling bunny. Luckily it was still sunny and I was meeting my friend I was bridesmaid for and I haven't seen her since before christmas, so I wasn't too grumpy.

And it was good training for me too.

Have I told you all I signed up for the Shine walking marathon in Glasgow on a Saturday in September? I will be raising money for cervical cancer. http://shine.cancerresearchuk.org/?gclid=CN-ExuaF7KcCFUdP4QodaSDDbA (Go on. You know you want to!) ETA That's the link for you to sign up to walk too!!! I'm not asking you for money.

I know I'll never run anywhere I can walk and so I thought, why not! It gives me a good reason to make sure I exercise and eat well as I'll need a bit of strength and stamina. And I feel so much better when I exercise and eat well. So I'm doing as much for me as for cancer research. :)

Remind me of that on days like today when the balls of my feet ache from traversing the streets of Edinburgh. (By the way, if you live near there, get yourself to Stockbridge. They have loads of charity shops and wee independent places and they look amazing. I was gutted I didn't have time to mooch around in them. It is so on my list of things to do.)

I have tickly feet too. So the thought of maassaging them has me reeling in horror!

Today's plan was to walk around a couple of parks in Glasgow but I really want to go and buy some new (by which I mean charity shop!) clothes. I'm sick of all my trousers not quite fitting me. I'm between two sizes really and it's a pain in the neck. And I still can't work the sewing machine well enough to make them fit without looking like I got into a fight with the sewing machine (which I do every time I try to use it).

But firstly I'm of to peruse easybreaks.com and see if I can book myself a few wee days away. :)

PS RBS now sitting at £5,178.75.

Been doing some juggling between bank accounts! Repeat after me: "Do not take all but one bank card out of your wallet without checking you've left the right card in there."

Especially when you're skipping off to have your legs waxed. :D
