Now that sounds like a posh inspiration board. :)

It is usually easier for other people to see the wood for the trees in these situations. That is what I am coming to love about having a diary. I stick all my angst on there and somebody says "what about......." and I think " why didnt I think of that" or " what a good idea" and it helps me to move through the fog.

    Hope you sleep well.

Dont read it tonight. It is a bit boring at the moment. Just started a new one so nothing worth reading.

I think I made my curfew with seconds to spare last night! :rotfl:

And, no. Of course I'm not a work and procrastinating at the moment!

I am snacking on yoghurt & raspberry crisp cereal (the little yoghurt bits taste like white chocolate but you can pretend it's healthy. Which it is compared to my colleauges macaroon bar!) and trying to get my head around the next thing I have to do.

But it's Friday afternoon and every-one seems to have gone home, so it's quite hard to stay in work-mode!

I think I'll put the radio so I don't get lonely!

I am working at second job tonight. It's a tough life, we are being picked up and taken to a pub to listen to a relative's band! :D (Actually, if the band are awful, it could be quite a torturous night, but I'm hoping for the best, the pub in question generally does fab live music.)

Well done for meeting the curfew. I love youghurt covered bananas and raisins and I am always convincing myself that they are healthier than chocolate. Eating the full Holland and Barratt bag in one sitting is not so healthy though!

Sounds like a good way to earn a second living to me.

How was the band, Nicca? I'm off to see Les Miserables in London tonight (never been to a London theatre before!), so that's musical entertainment for both of us this week. AND mine is MSE, too, as it's a friend's birthday treat! :D

How's the inspiration board going? Sounds like a fab idea!

Need to go get ready for Les Mis in a min. STILL procrastinating on the paperwork, though - I've re-deployed the bird feeding station in the back garden (which I've been meaning to do for MONTHS), done a lot of excercising on the Wii, stayed at work waaaaay too late, and even updated my Mortgage Free Wannabee 'diary' (read: I remember it once a year when the mortgage statement arrives) - and now I'm thinking "maybe the kitchen floor needs a scrub..." And if I'm considering hardcore cleaning I know I'm procrastinating in extremis! :o

Still, got Les Mis as an excuse tonight... *tries to sneak out unnoticed, whistling casually*

  • I've heard Les Mis is incredible so enjoy Jes!! It gave MrS spine tingles so it's got to be good.

Nic hope you are ok... do whatever is right for you but don't rush in to decisions x

The band we were there to see were great! By far the best, vocally and musically and in just having a togetherness and presence on the stage! They sounded a bit 80s (think The Cure, Simple Minds). I liked them. http://soundcloud.com/fictionfaction/sets/fiction-faction-demo-sampler/, if you're interested.

The band before them were good, a bit "shouty" when the lead signer got a bit excited with some of their, evidently, favourite songs. And I couldn't stop laughing at the faces the drummer was making. I did wonder whether I should have found him later to tell him how daft he looked, but decided against it! He probably couldn't play the drums anywhere near half as well if he was concentrating on having a normal face!

The first band were interesting!!! The lead signer opened her mouth and sound came out. But I'm not sure they were sounds I've ever heard before - or wish to again. Appropriately they were called evil. (Small e deliberate!)

Niccatw, the renowned music critic! :rotfl: Mr Cowell will be on the phone imminently. (I wonder if I ought to point out that I am tone deaf and cannot hold a note myself?)

I'm going there again on Thursday night hopefully. But this time to hear my friend's Big Band night, which is 50s swing. When I mostly wish I could dance!

Jesthar, enjoy Les Mis! It'll be fabulous! :) And next time I see you here, I want to know that, not only have you scrubbed the kitchen floor, you have also filed 7 sheets of paper in your lovely new filing cabinet! *waggles finger menacingly and tries to supress a sneaky smile*

Cherisong - banana and raisins covered in yoghurt! Mmmmmmmm! I'm due a trip to H&B. I need flaxseed and blueberries and cranberries - and it's cheaper to buy the biggest amounts of them there than at the supermarket. And they currently have their sale on, so it'll be even cheaper.

I'm with you on the convincing yourself it's healthier! I think my stock phrase is "But it's good sugar." :rotfl: Though a couple of my colleaugues give me that "there's nothing wrong with bad sugar" look. Like when I went into the orange supermarket specifically because I wanted something to munch on. And I came out with a fudge and a packet of sugar snap peas! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

To be honest, it was probably more the daylight robbery in the price of sweets these days that put me off! If they had what I was looking for though...

    :D

Yesterday was NSD 19! Which is the highest I've ever manged in NSDs! (They are even more satisfying when you were watching a band night that would normally cost you a fiver but you were actually paid to be there!)

I have transferred money from my salary account to my D/D and bills account so that's all sorted for another month.

The £7.42 has cleared on loan account bringing the total down to £6671.75.

I recevied £439 in wages for second job. (This will settle back down now christmas is out of the way and he has a electronic call thingy in place) and I have about £400 left over from bills and D/D this month (no council tax this month, increaing the leftover). I also still have the £600 hanging about in case of a bill from the factors for the water stuff.

I think I might call them on Monday and try to find out if they know any more (i.e. Is it Scottish Water's fault or will I billed?) They are a pain in the *ss to phone though. I've never once had a postive phone call or outcome when I've had to get in touch, so I'll be working on the premise that I'll still know as much as I currently do! And that actually, maybe grabbing one of the workmen as I leave the flat one day might be a more useful way to go!

But I'm so not used to having money hanging about and if it can be put to good work on that loan, then I'd rather that's exactly what it were doing.

In case it accidently gets eaten up by a holiday! :p :rotfl:
