:T:T:T Well done Nicca :T:T:T
That really is a fantastic achievement and you deserve a huge pat on the back
£10k is a huge sum in 10 months, that it £1k a month  And all while trying to maintain a life and without a safety net :j

Hey nicca, what a fantastic amount paid off!! :T Well done you!
Here's to another year of the same! :beer:2019 will be my year!!0 -
Awwww shucks guys! (I seem to be saying that a lot at the moment :rotfl:)
Thought I'd post the linky for the How Much Have We Cleared 2010 thread Lemon Tree started, to remind me to update when my totals are hopefully even higher than they are right now! Thank you for starting it up Lemon Tree.
KP - great to see you again; spied you on Mike's thread and the NSD thread. Not been on your diary in ages, sorry. Hope you have a lovely christmas and New Year and here's to a fun and prosperous 2011!
And now I need to go to bed (not before one last peek at what Mike has been saying)

thanks i love the how much thread each year and as i hadn't seen it started i thought i'd stick my neck out and do the honours.
You've cleared a fabulous amount of debt of since you started you should be really proud of yourself.0 -
Thanks Lemon Tree! It's a great thread! And it is definitely good to see the totals - I thought I hadn't paid off anywhere near as much as I could have - but when I see that total, it does make me feel much less guilty about the times you do just have to go out and live your life!
Bizarrely, I was wondering if the thread had been started - and then there you were, right on cue! :T Some people have cleared phenomenal amounts! I nearly fell off my seat at the person who cleared £55k! I can only hope they sold a house; otherwise the rest of us are really not trying hard enough:rotfl:.

Good God Girl!
Why haven't I done my case study yet!
I don't think "'cos I don't want to" will cut it with my boss or the prof that gave me an extension!
Ok, 1500 words in 24 hours... it can be done. But done well; that's debatable! (I don't know the literature base behind it.)
Right, just get something down on paper!
I'm going to try the 15 minute rule Katenut talked about on the NSD thread. Since I'm rubbish at concentrating - 15 minutes of case study, 10 minutes faffing...
We'll see how it goes!Jan10: 28,315.81 Jan11: 18,015.32 Jan12: 7,682.58 Jan13: 2,987.73 Current debt: 1,225.55

Ok, one third completed. It's very clear I'm not entirely sure what I'm doing!
But now I'm going to meet my friend and her parents for dinner.
Yes; my priorities are the right way round!
I have that nervous feeling in my stomach but I'm not going for marks any more - just completion!
I've passed all the other assessments and I've 3 more modules to go. I just need to words on paper and hope I've grasped enough for a pass!
Will I ever learn not to leave things until the last minute?
I very much doubt it!
Ok, off to eat and be merry. Tomorrow I will HAVE to finish the case-study as it's due Wednesday. And when the pressure's on, there is no escape!
On that note, I'm off to gallavant and ignore the obvious.

hope you enjoyed your meal out.
I remember one of the best marks i ever got when i did my degree was when i wrote the paper the night before and just winged it. The title had been sat laughing at me for the best part of the month and i just didn't have a clue where to start.0 -
Here's hoping Lemon Tree, here's hoping!
I find it quite bizarre because it's in the field I work in and I can't quite work out if they want me to give them back the theory or if they actually want me to apply it to a real life case. If I apply it to a real life case, it is impossible to stay within the word limit and answer all they are asking!
So halfway through I kind of changed my mind and thought I was doing it all wrong, but by then it was far too late to do anything about it!
But something is at least down on paper!
I got an extension on health grounds (though an extension over christmas is never any good!) so I'm hoping if it's not good enough it won't impact on the rest of the course or anything I might want to do with it in future.
If it doesn't pass I can resit it once - but that will impact on the next module as they are 3-month modules one after the other!
Anyway, I'll stop ranting now as I now need to "edit" it and lose 400-500 words!
Never a happy mediumJan10: 28,315.81 Jan11: 18,015.32 Jan12: 7,682.58 Jan13: 2,987.73 Current debt: 1,225.55
