I don't know what to say....

I'm not one to say 'scum! shoot 'em'

But I think things need to get harsher - bring out some fight, some passion in certain people

ETA: I meant the residents, not the MPs, although could apply to both!

the more i think about these people the more it makes me sick. these people should not get money - they need food stamps that can be redeemed for certain goods in certain supermarkets. there is no need for these people to have dogs or cats. I would like a dog but, despite having a house I don't believe the house is right for a dog. these people have two dogs in a one bedroom flat. there is no need for it. Dog food should not be redeemable under the food stamp scheme. Also, cigarettes and booze should not be allowed. if luxuries are required - work for them. Perhaps the food stamps can be topped up with booze and fag stamps if they do voluntary work.

for people that don't work, they have pretty much every luxury you can think of.

sickening- its about time these people on benefits knew what hardship was.

150 per week is ASDA!????? That is more than I spend and I have a decent job.
Trouble is it's easy come easy go, many don't know the meaning of earning a living. The girl on there with the dodgy teeth went on google and had a go at the mp for his expenses claim. She complained it was from her taxes !!!!!!. They are brain dead.

You ain't never gonna convert me Tory Boy, stop trying :p

...I agree completely with PN on the poverty bandwagon, its not that they're greedy as such (I mean, thats not the sole motivation) its that they are constantly told they are the poorest in society, their kids are in poverty etc

I find it quite stupid. It is edited to make everyone look stupid and is all about minor personality narratives.

    It does not:
    1. Highlight what life is like on a tough council estate
    2. Provide much insight into the personality of the elected members on the show
    3. Provide a realistic way of getting MPs to understand those who live on council estates.

The problem is that the MPs have agendas, the people in the estate do and the whole thing is editted perhaps to try and seem more interesting.

Yes, and you are entitled to laugh!

1997. It was the catchy theme tune. Plus I was living in yorkshire with my girlfriends family at the time and her mum told me I had to vote labour otherwise she would make me make my own tea! So I voted labour.

This is the problem with letting stupid people have a vote.

Only the right leaning, sensible people should be allowed :D
