1997. It was the catchy theme tune. Plus I was living in yorkshire with my girlfriends family at the time and her mum told me I had to vote labour otherwise she would make me make my own tea! So I voted labour.
This is the problem with letting stupid people have a vote.
Only the right leaning, sensible people should be allowed
Hmmm, & they right leaning 'sensible' people seemed to have failed to have noticed we've had 2 elections since 97 ?We cannot change anything unless we accept it. Condemnation does not liberate, it oppresses. Carl Jung

I would like a dog but, despite having a house I don't believe the house is right for a dog. these people have two dogs in a one bedroom flat. there is no need for it. Dog food should not be redeemable under the food stamp scheme. Also, cigarettes and booze should not be allowed. if luxuries are required - work for them. Perhaps the food stamps can be topped up with booze and fag stamps if they do voluntary work.
for people that don't work, they have pretty much every luxury you can think of.
sickening- its about time these people on benefits knew what hardship was.
150 per week is ASDA!????? That is more than I spend and I have a decent job.
Its just iresponsible having two dogs in an already over crowded flat.
Turns my stomach to see benefit money spent on fags, booze, drugs, betting shop, bingo, fake nails, etc etc.....
I couldn't believe her spending £150 a week in Asda, I don't know ANY working households spend that.0 -

That's a very good point.
A very very good point.
So good, I'm a little stuck with a comeback.
To be fair though, I was probably in the pub or something, and at that point politics was for real old fuddy duddy people.
I've now reached fuddy duddy status and I'm darn proud of it
I probably won't be voting tory this time either.
Edit: and why is half of DT here now!?? I came here to run away0 -
