well today is a landmark step....

I worked out for the first time in over two weeks :j twas only half an hour of cardio but it's a start. It's scary how quick you lose fitness when you don't go, am plannign on going on wednesday and friday this week too. Next week we are much better staffed so I'll be able to make it more often again. Thank god the light at the end of the tunnel is so close!

Unfortunatly my efforts towards having a nsd (by leaving purse at home) were thwarted by my £1 from the trolley in asda last night still being in my coat pocket, 98p on a bag of crisps  will try harder tomorrow!

I sorted out my solicitor for the remortgage tonight too, not having to pay for it as the deal I have includes up to £400 for solicitors fees and mine is charging £300 plus vat. hopefully that will get the ball rolling on that one!

Wasn't the best day at work, a dose of chinese whispers is running riot and every little thing anyone says is being distorted and spread which is getting so annoying I think I'll refrain from talking to anyone in the building! I have much bigger things to deal with than someone else's take on things I've said.

Other than being totally knackered and even colder than normal (am a cold blooded creature) I'm doing ok today. I'm one more sleep closer to payday (four more to go), wish I could say I was patiently waiting, but patience is not a virtue I was blessed with

I have a little good news to spread around...

today is the first day I've gone into my overdraft since my last payday four and a half weeks ago :j and I get paid on friday so I'll be back in the black then and depending on how much I get perhaps this next few days are the last I'll be in the red on my account :j

quite proud to say that :D

other than that it's been a nsd and ncd (no crisps day ;) ). I've also been on the phone to the mortgage advisor who is doing a rate check on the offer I've had from c&g, if that works out cool I'll sign the offer and get it to the solicitor this week then shortly I'll be 5k richer and getting central heating put in!

am gonna spend the next hour and a half doing some study for my college course this evening then off to fall asleep in class ;)

got my payslip today, it's not what I expected which is such a let down. after taking off my bills and other essentials I'm left with £120, from that I've given myself £40 for spending money, £40 for entertainment, £20 for a meal I promised a friend (might have to scrap that now) leaving me £20 to pay towards my debt. £20 bloody squid...I feel like crying. I don't think I'm being over generous with my spending and going out money, thats only two nights out in a month! here was me thinking life was going to get easier this month ha! my only saving grace is that I have £50 due from quidco at the next payday and I SHOULD have £115 from pru and a bit more from apple this time too but they still show as tracked! if they all pay up then i could manage to scrape £200 towards my cc which would be great, as it is I'm not even getting the £50 I would have needed to get me below the 2k mark.

It's after 11pm and I'm just in from work, I get up at 4.45 in the morn to start tomorrow but I felt so bad I wanted to come on here and let you all know. I dunno what else I can do guys, I feel like I'm just treading water at the minute, no matter how hard I try, how hard I work I'm not getting a break and I so want to give up. I've damn near killed myself with all the extra hours I've done this past few weeks and it was the money that kept me going, and for only £20 more than last pay day. whats the point?

    Hi LJ

I thought of you this morning while listening to the radio. Clive James discusses 24 here:

    http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/magazine/views/a_point_of_view/

The link will take you to the transcript, but scroll about half-way down to the "listen again" button.

Shall we say he's not a fan? :D

all i have to say to that is 'who the hell is clive james????'

well I've kinda missed the end of the month as far as aims go, woops! lets put that down to how much I've worked this past few weeks, here's to 37 hour working weeks!

my aims I'd set for march were,
-do proper weekly budgets and put 100% into achieving themI've managed this quite well, been in budget a couple of weeks and the others I was only a matter of £'s out which I can cope with
-find more quidco/pigsback/voucher deals to boost savingsdone a few bits and pieces, got £55 from quidco this week and £120 to be paid in april
-get back to gym 5 times a week and improve diet:rotfl: is al I can say to that one
-get work done on the flat!!!ditto above
-attempt to end the month on as much of an even financial keel as possibleI ended the month having only been in my od for 3/4 days which is fantastic, this month it should just be one!

Hmmmm think about 50/50 there. Despite deciding that March was gonna be a big turnaround month for me, it fell flat on it's face. Had my heartbroken by another worthless lump, spent too much time working and not enough dancing! The good news is that although I put on weight again it was only 2lbs which is nothing really.

Aims for april, well it's time (Again) to get back on track!

-make realistic budgets and stick to them each week
-aim for at least 3 sessions in the gym and cut out snacks, try to lose 6lbs
-get studying started for college exam in may
    -finish sorting remortgage
-find more quidco offers to sign up to

again it's not a great month financially, budget was quite tight and didn't leave much for having a life, good news is one of four weekends was spent in the house and I'm working all next weekend so I've only got two weekends to avoid spending before next payday!

    Here's to april folks!!!

Hey there Lyns, thought I would leave you a wee message since we never seem to be able to catch up properly, I think we should both maybe add that to our aims for April, what do you think??? ;)

Sorry to hear you never gained much extra in your pay, did you check they paid you right??? Sounds stupid but be thorough with how many hours were T.5

Also, did you get my e-mail about Oil Week??? Some good money to be earned there if you can do it.

Just earned another 1500 piggypoints today, has to be my biggest amount so far on MSE, not bad eh, I'll leave it in there for a while to build up more I think, most likely it will be spent on Roisin ;)

Anyway, give me a shout soon and we should definately try and catch up SOON.

    Take care babes

By the way - :grouphug: <<< How dodgy does this smiley look :D
