  • Yes well done on the "A" LJ!

The holiday could be what you need right now to look forward to - something positive. Leave all the recent grief behind.

As long as you can work out your debt repayments as well as saving then, it could be a good thing. I'm probably not being a very good DFW here am I???

  • Well done on the course work, LJ!

What happened to "I'm going to stay celibate"? Please don't get disheartened by the David situation.

You could always add Jeff to your friends on Bebo...

jeffs on bebo? wow! might just have to add him! :rotfl:

i'm trying not to get disheartened, honest min, the smile is getting easier to keep on. and i am staying celibate, i just don't want all my friends going off with 'my' guys! is that wrong/selfish?

la, don't worry about being a bad dfw, there is a fine line between doing your best at paying off debts and giving up on life to get debt free. i've always tried to do equal measures. i'd probably be a lot closer now if i'd given up on life but like you said before, it's not a rehersal is it?

how are you guys doing anyway? any chat to share?

oh it hurt so much to get up this morning, it's been snowing randomly up here the past few days and it's all slushy outside, yuck! if it's going to snow i wish it just would and leave inches on the ground rather than this half hearted attempt. i've stolen another dfw's sig which fits well, 'do or do not, there is no try' i believe it's from star wars, but i like it!

i did get up (as you can tell) and went to the gym for the aqua class at 10.45...found out after it should have been 10.30 and there was me swanning in thinking i was perfectly on time... oh well, at least i showed up which is more than the instructor expected! had brekkie there then went into town for my manicure (free with tampax vouchers) it was nice to be pampered a little, have another voucher which i'll use at the end of the end of the month for my granda's bday party.

met up with a friend and her little one for a nosey around town for an hour or so, was nice to catch up with them a bit, tho it did end up costing me! i spent £11 in primark and got a pair of jeans and vest top for sat night and a new pair of jammie bottoms. had seen bratz dolls reduced in boots and went back and picked up one at £5.50 for my little cousin, missed her bday on monday, fell sooooo guilty about it too! so i'll post this down with an apology! went back to the gym and had pasta for lunch, was going to do the pilates class this evening, but it meant sitting about the gym for an hour and not only was i not in the mood but the 'bully' was there and i didn't want the hassle, so i'm planning a productive evening.

i'm going to rake out my sewing machine and boxes of fabrics (all forty million of them!) and find bits to make big cushion covers for my mum, she's been (subtly) hinting that she cant find any so i'll do a few for her bday in march, gosh i'm so generous :rotfl: might even look at the pile of crap thats been building up for myself! that was the worst thing i found with working in the fabric shop, all the projects that got planned to the stage of buying things then abandoned at the actual 'doing' stage! i have half a double wardrobe overflowing with fabrics and half done things, then there is the cupboard full of trimmings! if only i still had an ebay account eh?

    Hi LynsayJane.

Nice to hear you sounding so much more positive. I definitely think planning a holiday is a good idea - it gives you something to look forward to. Now my wedding is done with and Christmas is past I find I am drifting a bit so need to think what my next big target is. (Other than being a star debt buster obviously :rotfl: ).

I know what you mean about the projects. My Mum does somne brilliant stuff and every time I visit I get all excited about something, buy the stuff and when I get home it just gathers dust! Must do better.

Anyway - really just wanted to let you know I'm still with you even if I've got nothing useful to post.

    Take care
    Deb

    Hi LJ.

    Was just catching up.

Had to smile at the mental vision of you marching through an airport with HUGE cerise suitcase in tow! :D

thanks for the kind thoughts folks, sorry i've not been on much in the past few days, was working over the weekend so not a lot of free time. good news is today is the start of my two weeks off work so i'll have plenty time to catch up with you all! :j

well today is day 43 and it's been a lazy one! :rotfl: sorry la i know you like my productive days! i decided since it's the first day of my hols not to set my alarm, i woke up the back of ten but didn't get out of bed till gone two

spent a bit of time playing on the net then left the house about 6ish, went via matalan to get my red sparkly flip flops....how me? to the gym for an aqua class, then spent am hour in the steam room and jacuzzi after!

did my big week shop on the way home too so hoping for a few no spend days this couple of weeks.

right big plans for the rest of the holibags and they go something like this...

tuesday (tomo) i'm going to a pilates class at 11-12.15 then coming home to do my college homework then college at night.

wednesday i'm spending the day in the bedroom gutting my wardrobes and cupboards, cleaning the window, painting the doors white and any other wee jobs that i've neglected to do! maybe go to the gym at some point then the pub quiz in the evening, not seen the friends that go for a while and since it'll be anti-valentines i can get drunk and miserable in good company

thursday i'll be doing aqua at 10.30 (hangover allowing) and finishing off any jobs i didn't get done the day before

friday i'll spend the day in the bathroom cleaning the whole place, probably gyming at some point too

saturday i'll be cleaning the hall cupboard out, i'll finish painting the woodwork in there (gloss amount allowing), possibly gym session then possibly out on the razz in the evening

sunday will be possible hangover day, possible gym day and finish off any of the saturday jobs i've not finished

monday i'll start on the living room, cleaning out the cupboards and gutting the place, tidyup all my filing etc etc and aqua in the evening

tuesday i'll finish off any of mondays jobs and do any college homework i have, pilates in the morning then college in the evening

wednesday i'll start on the kitchen, finish off the tiling, do the wallpapering, skirtings and roof...my dad is coming up to help with this so the actual days might get altered slightly. possibly gym session

thursday is finishing off the kitchen day, plus aqua in the morning.

this leaves friday, saturday, sunday to myself at the end of my hols. if i miss out on any of the above days i can catch up on them here.

during these two week si also plan on organising my finances slightly better. i should get my visa bills in that are getting cleared during this time so hopefully i'll go back to work with only once credit card and that being my only debt

wow! so much for relaxing eh? i guess the good thing is i can do all this at a more leisurely pace and by the end of the two weeks, if i manage it all, i'll have a much better organised life in pretty much every way which will make day to day life much easier and hopefully happier!

    wish me luck!
