well today feels like a very very good one!
i paid my last instalment on my council tax for this year, i was a month behind due to changes when my ex moved out, so i only miss one month, but thats still £78 towards my £173 electric bill i just received  i do have the money to pay it, no problem, it just means the savings i'd had planned to go towards my final cc debt is blown, but hey these things need to be paid eh?
i also sorted out my od at a&l today and withdrew the £750 i needed to clear my bos od. cleared it and cancelled the account so as of today i'm lyns with the one account as opposed to lyns with four accounts that i was at the start of the year! i know it's technically not a debt paid off, but it greatly simplifies my finances and it's also 3 bits of plastic out of my wallet! it was also the first time in my life i've ever owned a £50 and £100 note! i have actually never seen a £100 note before never mind had one in my purse, boy did i feel great :rotfl: although ten minutes later it was gone!
i missed the gym today as it's my day off this week ( i try and go five times, sunday being the other day off this week) and diet wise i wasn't too great, bought a bag of rollo cookies in asda  but i won the cookie lottery as there was an extra cookie in the bag! woohoo :j however today i discovered wny i've been so addicted to chocolate this week, appears i was pre menstrual  oh well at least it'll be over soon and i can get back to being a good dieter!0 -
Made me laugh with "won the cookie lottery" :rotfl:
£100 notes? Didn't think they were actually real. I thought they were something made up by cocaine addicts to sound big
Glad you had a good night out though with your friend. I bet that guy was really chuffed about having his cheeks mushed! :rotfl:
Congrats on shedding the plastic as well....sounds good to me.Bank Balance: In the black for the moment.

Maybe it's a Scottish thing, LA. Apparently they still have £1 notes up there too... What if the hokey cokey is what it's all about? :eek:Official "Bring back Mark and Lard NOW! or else (please)" Member 160 -
in the interests of getting rid of the plastic i might call up and cancel my oasis card tomo, i've not used it since getting my dress and as promised i payed it in full when ti came in so didn't pay any interest on it. i can now get cards in and out of my purse with ease!
i know i thought it was great getting that extra cookie...but now i'm feeling slightly green! oh well i guess every silver lining has a cloud! :rotfl:0 -

I just can't believe I'll ever *see* a £100 note in my purse, Scottish, English, Isle of Man, anything! If I do, I'll need pinching quite hard.
That was pinching, not punching may I add.Bank Balance: In the black for the moment.

If I ever see a £20 note I have to go for an immediate lie down... What if the hokey cokey is what it's all about? :eek:Official "Bring back Mark and Lard NOW! or else (please)" Member 160

I have one in my purse right now. Believe me, it's a rare occurrence these days (and it won't be there for long either ).Bank Balance: In the black for the moment.

sorry guys, didn't mean that to seem like i was showing off, it's easy to get a £100 note when you get yourself a £750 od and withdraw it all at the same time! (the bank didn't have enough £20's there and poke waiting for it!) if i ever had a £100 note just for sitting in my purse i'd probably need medical attention!0

Oh no...I didn't think you were showing off at all hon! I was just being facetious about £100 notes cos for us DFWs, they are almost mythical items aren't they?Bank Balance: In the black for the moment.
