  • I finished a small tub of Papaya Body Butter from the Body Shop last night. WIBA - NO, it was okay, a nice soft and creamy consistency and it did the job well, but I didn't like the smell.

My feet and legs will look and feel marvellous by the time the summer months arrive, been going to bed in cotton socks and body butter for the past week.

Off to put some more money in my pot now!!!

im continuing what i started, last night i done well and finished a avon exfoliating face scrub, however i used it on my bum and thighs instead lol

havent actually gotten round to throwing out the dove summer glow as i looked on it and it says it lasted 24 months and i only opened it in june last year so may as well keep it for now as will prob start using it in around april
also while i was sorting out my spare box i found a few things like more eye make up remover which i may throw out as tbh i dont use it and some hair protection sprays

cant think off hand of anything i may need to buy this month apart from hairdye, i have 1 here however when i get paid i may like to get another one so i have one spare

Would it be so bad if I give up on that and bin it, too? :o

No: seems to me it would be sensible to get rid of it!

All I need to do is go upstairs and a small branch of Boots is available there!
    :rotfl:You've just described my house!
    Hello lovely ladies,

I'm in a panic. What's going to happen to the other thread? Only there was lots of kind, generous, advice for me and I need to keep reading it and reinforcing it
    ?

It'll probably still be there but it's really long. Why don't you copy and and paste the relevant bits of advice into a word document and save it on your computer?

I wasn't really doing this challenge in January (Boots 75% off sale) but I'm definitely doing it for February. I didn't buy anything in the last week of January.

Buying absolutely nothing seems unrealistic for a lot of people here but this thread is definitely having the effect of making people cut back and think twice before buying. If sombody who used to spend £40 in Debenhams is now feeling guilty for spending £4 in Boots they are headed in the right direction (me included there).

  • Morning Ladies :)

Still working on my law essay today, so really need to stay away from boots as a distraction! Am popping up to their evaluation suite later though as part of the skin care study I'm doing but no shops there so hopefully I'll be safe :D
snap, I did mine on Friday night, base plus 2 main plus top coat. Chipping by Saturday, had to touch up and then a full cover touch up to get through yesterday. I took proper time between coats too. No 7 nail varnish is now officially crap IMHO :)

I couldn't agree more, so glad I've only bought them with a voucher. They seem to last ok on my toes though so maybe I'll have to sort my stash into fingers and toes

With the nail varnish, you're better to put on thin coats and take it ever so slightly over the edge of your nail - it's easier (and more important) to do with enhancements, but does help keep polish on natural nails too.

Um maybe that is where I am going wrong, I like to wear darkish colours so I gloop on as much as I can so I only have to do 2 coats, I imagine with thinner coats I'd be there hours waiting for each coat to dry. But I might try that sunday when OH is watching the footie

The reformed shopaholic thread is a good idea. You might find that the former shoppers felt that same way you do.

I love the idea of a reformed shopaholic thread!

The film is good but the book is better. I remember reading it years ago and being in stiches as I read it. It got me hooked to the whole series of books. I don't like her new stuff but the shopaholic book series was brill

C'mon salesaddict - get yourself a diary like the rest of us! Post a link and we will happily follow and advise! :D

I'll read and support if you post us a link (hugs)

I also have a Molton brown vitamin E lipsaver that has the consistency of glue... I can't even apply it to my lips without it making me gag. Would it be so bad if I give up on that and bin it, too? :o

BIN IT!!! Let's not punish ourselves by using up stuff which totally minging, get it in the bin and move on to the next :)

Love to all will check in later xx
*wonders when they will make dressing gowns acceptable day wear?*

I agree, horrible stuff! I tried it in the shop once and it was awful.
