Regarding sticking to this challenge, i have had 1 or 2 slips but this is nothing compared to what i use to spend, im finding that not only do i not miss the money im putting in my tin, but ive also got a lot more money to spend every month, which is great but also quite:eek::eek::eek::eek: especially seeing as i really dont feel like im missing out on anything most of the time, sure i have a few off days, nainly when dh is having a bad day, but even then most of the time ive managed to resist, so im quite pleased with how things are going and really do appreciate all your support so thanks very much:T.
Anyhow im off to bed soon, see you later.

I agree about the film, too slow. It's a shame as I really loved the bookI want a perfect body, I want a perfect soul, I want you to notice when I'm not around0 -

I have the book in my huge 'still to read' pile........Time may be a great healer, but it's a lousy beautician....0

Can't you use the Soap+Glory? (I remember your stash pictures)Need_a_break wrote: »Hi ladies, well i watched The lovely bones at cinema tonight and i thought it was too slow and not that good really, but had a lovely time with my friends so still agood evening.
I want to see that:( And Leap Year too, Glad you had a nice evening anyway.lostinrates wrote: »Yes.and it is really good, lots of samples. Itmade me laugh when ne of the staff said ''you've got one of the GOOD lotions too'' I laughed and asked if she meant as opposed to the bad ones? She went bright red and said she meant as opposed to the less good, er, um, less expensive...er, um....its one of the most popular we've given out!'' Good save from her!
Actually, the event cost £10, but had a look and the body lotion would have been £15. I usually use butter, but I will enjoy the lotion lots, and the samples......oooh, the samples.....I'll list them all tomorrow..:)
(Guilt soothed by samples and body lotion...:D)

OK, confession time, I spent £22 on two lots of stuff from the Body Shop - the Polynesian set, plus 2x Vit E facial oils and a Vit E body butter. I tried the facial oil today and it is gorgeous!!!!!!! Quidco at 15% will bring it down to under £19. Anyway, sorry girls, I feel guilty and I shall not ever look at their website again.
:o:o:o (still not as naughty as LIR though!!!!!!!!!!)
Hehehe shift the blame... I'm liking it :rotfl: divert all naughtiness onto LIR... she loves it really :T
I deleted the other bit I wanted about the ebay... doh. I don't have any spare nice stuff like jewellery or err anything lol, not even a combBut it's great that your ebay sales are doing so well :T I should maybe sell my old speak and spell... I think it needs a new speech chip though

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: wait while I count 1,2,3,4 whole days till the end of this very short month PMSL!!! I managed that on 1 hand and didn't even use my thumb... thats how very few days left there are. I'm glad I came back to read this thread I was sooo tired befor but now I'm having a right laugh. How bad do we feel when we have a bit of a slip, it makes me chuckle :rotfl:
I have used the dregs from 2 Asda shower gels that were hanging round the bathroom so I smell a bit rasberryish/other kind of berryish and a bit minty, the nice mint flavour minty not the ooh err stinky minty
My trip to boots to spend £2.79 is cancelled because I've remembered the dog is going to the vets tomorrow
Good Night everyone, sleep well :AEven if you stumble, you're still moving forward.0 -
That's no so bad but barred from the Body Shop for 2 weeks:D And do some lines! (Good bargain though!)
You lot are incorrigeable! :rotfl:Is there anybody on this the "no buying toiletries thread" thread who has managed to not buy anything?
Not me! I bought a big No7 ultimate collection in the January sale (I really needed moisturiser and toner and it was as cheap to buy the whole set as it was to buy No7's moisturiser and toner, so I technically got all the rest for free (:rotfl:), and two big bottle of Tresemme yesterday a few days ago on special offer (of which I will use every last drop, guaranteed).
Other than that, I've been pretty good. I still have stuff to use, but I'm getting there, and I'm happy that I'm not having to spend money on stuff while going through an unpleasant financial patch. I'm also creating more space, which is as valuable as money to me given its rarity, so it's a win/wiin situation.
Hope you are all getting on as well. Please call me 'Pickle'

I agree, book was fantastic, film was really disappointing. Felt the exact same way about The Time Traveller's Wife too
What a shame! I'm really looking forward to reading The Time Traveller's WifeCan't you use the Soap+Glory? (I remember your stash pictures)
I want to see that:( And Leap Year too, Glad you had a nice evening anyway.
I'm jealous:shhh:
That's very true, I have lots of lovely Soap and Glory. Have closed the evil Body Shop page :TI want a perfect body, I want a perfect soul, I want you to notice when I'm not around0 -
I'm also very very tempted by the Body Shop offers at the moment... but have managed to resist so far!
In addition to the things I listed last night, I have also finished three hotel shower gel samples (none particularly nice), and a Time Delay Lip Plumper. WIBA? Yes, definitely! I love it, have a couple in my stash and another one opened already
I also finished/gave my bf a Body Shop small coconut body butter. He'd tried it when I used it on my hands at his house, and really liked both the smell and consistency, so I left the small amount that was there with him. He's been having problems with dry/excema-type skin on his fingers. Last weekend I then took him the other small coconut body butter I had in my stash (from Marie Claire magazine a while back), since he liked it so much, and also a tube of hemp hand cream, which I really love. He quite likes it too, but probably not quite as much as the butter (I think he prefers the consistency of the butter).0 -

Yes I did, previous pageI have moved money from my toiletry savings pot back to my current a/c to 'pay' for it, that was painful!
Used up a Botanics Soothing Body Wash, will add £2.50 to the pot as it was part of a gift set in last year's sale. WIBA: yes, it was lovely.
I have definitely spent less than I normally would whilst on the challenge, and am also only buying things that I love, so that's good. AND I haven't spent any skinnies/snowies, whereas before I would have been spending in lots of £5 just to get them and then using up every last one!!! :rotfl:I've also been off chocolate for over a week, so am saving £££s there (and maybe the splurge yesterday filled a gap?). Anyway, just rambling.
