ETA: I'm feeling guilty now, really for not being steadfast to the challenge. :( I'm sorry ladies.
Thanks for your kind words; this thread really helps me to stay focused. There's no point feeling guilty - just enjoy what you've bought and start afresh tomorrow. :)
Time may be a great healer, but it's a lousy beautician.... :/

I didn't mean to make anbody feel guilty by the way. It's just an observation that most people doing this challenge (me included) have bought things.

But it's still working because people are buying less than before and thinking more about purchases:)

Worst of all, I would never have bothered using the free No7 voucher in the past, were it not for getting the idea of buying something cheap with it from this thread :eek: :o....so work that one out!!!
I know, it's their fault innit Bronnie. Same here! I never used to go into Boots but I had a voucher in a christmas pressie and went to get some gifts and that was it!

If anyone made me feel guilty its ME. And its not really about the makeup, its about saying I'd stick to it and then not doing so. Believe it or not I am usually the one on the fashion thread telling people to save their money :o or make considered purchases. I think mine are the latter, but they could have waited.

As Babafette says, guilt is pointless, so I can only really just,...knuckle down and keep washing etc with what I have!

@lostinrates Don't feel guilty, it's not as if you buy stuff like that every day. Everyone needs a treat sometimes.

This thread is 100 pages long, it's not just about sticking to the challenge, it's about the product reviews, recommending things people might like, ebay discussions, general chat and fun!

STOP IT. I hate that the one day you treat yourself to something lovely you're feeling guilty. You mentioned a goody bag--was this the Space NK event mentioned earlier in the thread? That wouldn't be available everyday.

  • Hi ladies, well i watched The lovely bones at cinema tonight and i thought it was too slow and not that good really, but had a lovely time with my friends so still agood evening.

Regarding sticking to this challenge, i have had 1 or 2 slips but this is nothing compared to what i use to spend, im finding that not only do i not miss the money im putting in my tin, but ive also got a lot more money to spend every month, which is great but also quite:eek::eek::eek::eek: especially seeing as i really dont feel like im missing out on anything most of the time, sure i have a few off days, nainly when dh is having a bad day, but even then most of the time ive managed to resist, so im quite pleased with how things are going and really do appreciate all your support so thanks very much:T.

Anyhow im off to bed soon, see you later.

    Nab

    xx

Yes. :) and it is really good, lots of samples. Itmade me laugh when ne of the staff said ''you've got one of the GOOD lotions too'' I laughed and asked if she meant as opposed to the bad ones? She went bright red and said she meant as opposed to the less good, er, um, less expensive...er, um....its one of the most popular we've given out!'' Good save from her!

Actually, the event cost £10, but had a look and the body lotion would have been £15. I usually use butter, but I will enjoy the lotion lots, and the samples......oooh, the samples.....I'll list them all tomorrow..:)

(Guilt soothed by samples and body lotion...:D)
