    Afternoon, all

I've finally gotten around to photographing the new additions to my original stash, and will share all the photos below to give a more complete picture

I'm afraid I fell off the wagon last week after getting a double bonus, but not in an entirely wasteful way.

I haven't used many higher-end products so felt I would treat myself. I succombed to the Clinique offer as I really wanted to try more than just their eye makeup so bought the anti-redness base as I've been needing one, and an eye pencil with built-in smudger which again is something I've been needing.

I then nosied around Debenham's beauty counters and came across a table with clearance Lancome products, of which I bought a needed loose face powder (30% off) and anti-shine base (half-price), for which I got a free BAFTA bag of goodies for the effort.

Went onto Superdrug and found an alternative (hopefully) to my hair colour dilemna also made by L'Oreal, and it was on offer at £4.79, so thought I'd try it in case they keep it more permanent than the other. I also bought the Optimum serum for £2.79 (half-price + MOC), 2 x Tea Tree products for £2.99 (bogof + MOC), 2 x Facial wipes (to go into car for quick pick-me-ups) for £1.50 (bogof + MOC), and a couple packs of Bodyform with J Kidd glosses for 79p each.

Got the Olay cleanser for £2.99 at Boots w/voucher, and will buy another one with my last voucher as I really love this product. Got the Aussie Formula at Tesco 2 for £5.00 but again, I use this all the time.

    Will I be forgiven? :(

On the upside, I've managed to finish:

Boots Lavendar Bath Crystals-WIBA? No, lavendar's not for me. Was a gift from a couple Xmases ago. Had about 4 packets, am now on the last rose scented one :)

Sanctuary Body Wash-WIBA? Yes, this lasted ages, and I love Sanctuary anyway :D

Protect & Perfect Night Cream (trial size)-WIBA? Not sure, my skin's been noticeably softer since starting the challenge, but it may be a combination of things. Prefer the serum anyway

Sanctuary Warming Charcoal Detox Mask (sachet)-WIBA? Possibly, as it felt like it was really working at detoxifying.

Sanctuary Salt Scrub (sachet)-WIBA? Again, not sure. Not a big fan of salt scrubs, so will have to think about it.

Oh, and my nails lasted nearly 6 days without chipping using my old Boots Natural Collection polish. Didn't think they'd last a day tbh.

Surely I must be forgiven now :A

Finished an FCUK polished body butter, wiba, no i have a few already in the stash and although i do really like it, i am going off the matching body spray(bit too spicy at the end of spary iykwim)
I'm using the body spray now, and like you am going off it....may have to consider getting rid of the slender tube of the scent as I may not like the scent for very long :o

Ive still (amazingly!!) managed not to spend on anything extra - I didnt get that s&g set, nor did I get down to Boots to spend my points - but I did descover last night that 3 of my 6 mascaras are manky - and I REALLY dont need the intelligent foundationthat is FAR too dark for me !!!! (anyone want it?? Ive got a full size one AND a tester that need a new home - they are hardly used !!!)
Do not meddle in the affairs of dragons, for you are crunchy and taste good with ketchup

I love Black XS, it's my fave! Been wearing it for a few years now and can't do without it!
I really love this, too, and have already started using it. I alternate my fragrances all the time according to mood which means I tend to have loads but I use fragrance daily which means they ALL get used up and have the empty bottles in my lingerie drawer to prove it ;)

Lin.c you have some nice products there. I got the same Ted Baker gift set for Christmas. I have got all of my body sprays stored in the bag at the moment. I have used the bath chrystals but nothing else from there. I'm not that sure, hope the shower gel and body spray smell better. If I don't like the smell, I can always take it in to work and leave in the loo. I'm sure there will be someone there who likes it!
Thanks for that Kaz :) Unfortunately I'm still not sure about the Ted Baker stuff - it's not unpleasant, it's just not 'me.' I'm still holding onto it for the time being, as not sure if I should break it open (4x gift sets!) or sell it away :(

Just been and bought two large bottles of Tresemme on speical offer at Asda for £5. I don't consider that an over-indulgence as it's blumming expensive nowadays compared to when it first came out, and since Sunsilk (which I also normally use) has been killing my hair for the past few months, and Tresemme has restored it nicely, I consider it a good investment as it WILL be used up in its entirety.

    Just thought I should mention...;)

Can I ask what 'glitches' are, please?

    ....

Does anyone else also have a bit of a thing about yankee candles like me? I have so many I hang onto as I love the smell and worry I can't replace them if I use them-so ridiculous as I am sure the smell will go eventually if I don't use them! I currently have 6 small jars, 22 tarts and 19 scented tea lights. Sigh. Such a waste of money, even though I never pay full price. I am glad I happened on this thread!

Glitches are when you get something for waaay less than the RRP (or for free!), check out the Grabbit board for more. (or maybe you shouldn't if you want to stay on the straight and narrow on this challenge! :o)

Thankfully I am not really into candles - I like them, but wouldn't pay the prices for the dearer ones, tealights and pretty holders are more my style. I only buy church candles etc if they are seriously cheap.
Forgive me thread for I have sinned.....
Before I cough can I just say my friend is seriously ill and turning to toiletries was like a drug for me? Sniff. My friend has cancer and my heart is breaking. I'm doing lots for her but when I'm not around her I'm like a lost puppy

    ....

Sorry for the long sniffly post. Really shows what drives us sometimes eh.:A

(((((((((hugs)))))))))) to you mineallmine - things must be very difficult for you right now, so be kind to yourself. We all need a little feel-better treat/comfort or even a distraction in such circumstances and toiletries fit the bill well.

I am sitting with a face mask on, and my feet slathered in body butter - I also used my new moisturising gloves last night and my hands feel so soft! :) Nothing used up this weekend but I am getting close to the end of a few things so that's promising.

Hope all you lovely sparkly toiletry addicts are having a lovely Sunday! xoxo

  • Hey ladies hope your all ok, welcome to all the new members and thanks for posting:)

Mineallmine, so sorry to hear about your friends health, like so many of us (me included) emotions often drive us to do things that help to make us feel better give us a boost and i think as long as its not causing problems or is out of control it helps makes the unbearable a bit more bearable even if its only temporary and short lived, you sound very close and im sure she feels comforted to have a friend who so obviously cares about her:A.
Well my day was completely changed because of this damned snow:(. Had to cancel my facial thingy and am booked in for next week instead (good job too as when i rang them they say the store had just had to be evacuated:eek:) Also the quiz night i had organised was also cancelled due to bad weather and eminent bad weather:(. So i ended up ironing and did some baking too.
Well will post later hopefully, see you

    Nab

    xx
You laugh because I'm different......I laugh cause I just farted!
