I had some false lashes on for the first time ever a few weeks ago and I loved them! Flutter flutter. Hahaha!! The trouble is I've left it so late in life to start wearing them that I have to go to the salon and pay to have them put on professionally, as with my middle-aged eyesight it would mean I'd probably end up with one in the middle of my eyebrows or crawling up my face like a caterpillar!!:rotfl:

I'm asking for home false lash stuff for my birthday - I've always wanted to use them for special occasions - though maybe I should try them at a salon first?! I definitely won't be asking for any more toiletry stuff though :A
I hate body lotion, I find it thin & watery, it wont rub in properly, and I have very dry skin so it's crap anyway!!
I will NEVER EVER buy it again!! A couple of times I bought gift packs of perfume with body lotion as part of a set, thinking it was good value. NOT when I've got loads of the flaming stuff, and I hate it. I have given dd some, but she's not keen.

I have finally copped on that I hate body lotion too, as does Bronnie (and possibly others), we should be grateful that this thread has given us such an amazing epiphany!!! :rotfl: Really though, it has been an eye opener for me to discover and take note of what really works and doesn't. This will save me a fortune in future as I will not buy stuff that doesn't suit me, leaving me more money to buy the things that I truly love.

I've also realised I don't like body lotions, only butter, which is why I didn't moisturise as often as I should have in the past - really useful learning that. I agree that overall this is a very good and educational challenge - I'll def be much more discriminating in my purchasing in the future!

salesaddict - agree with you on lemon or lime in water, yummy! Though for me it has to be cold, I can't drink warm or hot water.

I've used up a sample of clinique moisturiser and a lush bathbomb today - not much but it's still progress, and my bath was lovely :j

eklynne - so sorry to hear about your hair cut, I hope you're feeling better about it now.
I had my haircut yesterday, and they cut off far more than I wanted as well - is it some weird training they get? Though they also refused to cut my fringe as short as I wanted it?! Still, the colour turned out great, and I think I actually need more off the ends, my hair is not in the best condition, I just can't face losing too much of it :(

Big welcome to spiggle and SuziQ!

    mineallmine - big hugs :(

Ok - I give up. What on earth do you do with moisturising gloves?? Im kinda feeling that Im missing out on something great and I should have a pair....

You use them overnight with your handcream, usually a fairly thick layer so that it sinks in overnight and in the morning your hands will be lovely & soft.

I'm working on it - I think I'm just too lazy to get water as often as I should - so silly! I'm sitting with a pint glass beside me right now though, and have been drinking all day. I'll be good in future :A

It takes me ages to get through Lush facemasks - I have almost finished one that I've used maybe 10 times already?! And I have another full one waiting in the fridge - that might be Love Lettuce as well actually?! Its been there since the start of Jan, so might be out of date by now :(

That's the eye cream I'm using at the minute which I'm trying to finish. I keep changing my mind about it - sometimes I'm not so keen, and I think it might irritate my eyes a little, but then sometimes I think it really works. Hmmm...

I'm the same with this eye cream, just can't decide if I like it or not. Also not sure whether it irritates my eyes either.

Was very good today and resisted buying some m&s handwash bogof today. Am very pleased :D

Good to have you back Babafette! :hello:
Thanks, that's sweet of you. :) It's taken me a couple of hours this evening to catch up with all the posts though!

I had a bit of a wobble a week ago when I found a load of reduced toiletries in Waitrose. However, I knew I didn't need anything, so I pulled myself together and resisted. It was so difficult, I just don't know what it is about reduced items that I find so alluring? Also I feel I must post this as nobody else around me (especially OH) appreciates what a big deal it is - I went to Sidmouth yesterday where there is a relatively large Boots and I didn't even go inside. This is such a big change for me..... I just know that there are lots of you here who will understand. :o

mimeallmine, so sorry to hear about your friend :( Not sure what else to say... be as strong as you can for your friend and of course for yourself.

I've scraped the dregs from my No7 night cream so thats now gone. I even managed to get cramp in my little finger lol... why make the pot a silly shape? My OH bought me the Aldi night cream earlier this afternoon so I've got that on my neck atm. Not sure what to make of it yet but it feels ok :o

I've somehow talked myself into needing a foundation brush even though I don't wear foundation... am now in the stage of convincing myself I need it to apply tinted moisteriser :o Not quite sure whats wrong with me lately, even after I've realised I don't need something I just get the "but I want it" thing going on!!! I'm like a spoilt kid today (but I haven't bought anything yet) and maybe need a slap upside the head!!! Deffo need to get my priorities straight!!

Just editting to add that I am also having trouble drinking enough water :o I love tea though lol. I only drink maybe 1 glass of water a day compared to probably 6-8 cups of tea... ooops!! A few years ago I gave up drinking tea or juice or anyting except water. I filled a 2 litre bottle every morning and made a point of drinking it through the day. The difference in my skin was amazing. Even the whites of my eyes were whiter, I think if I'd of stopped smoking back then maybe they would of been perfectly white. I was getting a solid 7 hours minimum sleep a night too and I know how the experts bang on about water/sleep/diet but it really is true. I'm sat here now thinking I should practice waht I preach... big bottle of water for me tomorrow :rotfl:GAWD I need a wee already and I only just thought of it :o

:naughty: YOU DON'T NEED IT, SO DON'T BUY IT! :naughty:

    There, has that helped?! ;)

P.S. Please let me know what the Aldi stuff is like as I might replace mine with same when it's gone: I've heard good things about some of their range. :)

    Evening sparkly ladies!!!

Melonade, I totally agree about the No7 pots, especially the small ones... so awkward! But we *will* get the dregs out if it kills us! :rotfl:

Yep, I'd get about 5 goes out of a mini tub, just on my legs :) Although I think I get through the Body Shop boy butters just as fast... Currently using Bio Oil instead on my arms to get rid of some scarring, otherwise I think I'd spend a fortune on body butters!

I got that spray in the past when I bought my ghd's, but never got on with it, I hated how it felt in my hair. I also got a serum free, which I've just dug out again and started using when I finished another one - I hate it as well, makes my hair feel awful and look lank and dirty really quickly! Which is probably why I stopped using it in the first place :)

Does Bio Oil work? I got it for a scar on my leg, but hardly ever remember to apply it. blush.gif

I hated that GHD spray too, ended up selling it on eBay recently and made about £7.50 after fees... not bad considering I paid about £11 and had used some of it! :j

    Hi all!

Just a quickie as am still at work!!

2 more Dove deodorants (freebies with voucher) and a Boots Time Delay eye cream, which I picked up to use the £5 skincare voucher and cost £1.35 as I got a few extra pennies off with the Dove voucher. Never really perservered much with eye creams, can't ever see a difference to be honest, but another feel-as-though-I should-be-using product, so will give this one a go!

Local Boots is irritatingly small and didn't stock the Dove body butter:mad:, so will get this next time.

Yikes, Bronnie, you don't use eye cream??? Do you take your moisturiser up to your eye socket, or just leave it unmoisturised?

Having only a small Boots nearby is probably good luck, I have 4 (including an enormous one) within 5 minutes of my office!!!! blush.gif
