Spiggle, that was brave to put your list on this thread. Well done!

Is the Botanics moisturising Sugar scrub a body scrub? Having psoriasis on my forehead I am on the lookout for quite a sharp facial scrub. Do you know of any?

Good luck with using up whats on your list. I started this challenge mid Janaury and all I have bought is a packet of cotton woll pads. Now I love the feeling of throwing away a used up toiletry item and having a bit more space in my bathroom cabinett.
I can recommend the No7 MEN's facial scrub. I've used my bf's a few times when I've been at his house (I gave it to him!), and it is very good. I actually like it better than the No7 women's one I've tried. It is very scrubby.

Alternatively, I also love the Clinique 7-day scrub cream, rinse off formula. It's the first facial scrub I tried, but I still love it and compare every other facial scrub to it. I still haven't found a better one!

I give up trying to catch up... it isn't gonna happen.

I almost had a moment of weakness earlier but I resisted. I really want to repurchase my favourite Biotherm eye cream but £24.00 feels like a lot to pay... even though I've been using it for a couple of years now and not found anything as good, and the 15ml dispenser usually lasts me about 2-3 months. Might just be me going insane but I think I can actually see the difference since I stopped using it. Decisions, decisions...

Yikes, Bronnie, you don't use eye cream??? Do you take your moisturiser up to your eye socket, or just leave it unmoisturised?

Seriously, does anyone not put their moisturiser up to their eyelashes? I have highly feelable eye sockets and I don't bother with separate eye creams- mind you, I work nights so I lok like an old hag most of the time anyhoo!
Rightyho, off to bed now, I can hear the cat waiting for me to go to bed (she gets INTO bed when I'm not at work but not unti I'm in and only on my side of the bed) and she's obviously tired cause she came down to find me!

I have a Faith in Nature organic face and body scrub which is really scrubby! I think it sounds like what you are after. I bought it at a local independent retailer which sells all things organic (food, toiletries etc.) but as there is only one of them, I'm not sure where else you would get it near you. Try googling it, and best of luck finding it!

  • Hi everyone! Glad to see everyone's trying their best and doing well :T

    **Rebecca Bloomwood's weekly update**

This week I managed to use up my Alberto Balsam tropical vanilla kids' two in one shampoo and conditioner. This was due to me having to wash my hair six times yesterday, because I'd just got back from staying at my parents' house, and they smoke.

I also used a Lush Space Girl bath ballistic but that wasn't mine. My brother's GF showed me her shoeboxes full of ballistics and bubble bars and told me to help myself. I left her an IOU, next time I'm at my parents' house I'll bring an unwanted product with me to pay her back.

I've decided that S&G's The Fab Pore Hot Cloth Cleanser is not good for my skin. The areas of my face with big pores and blackheads have grown, and now almost my entire face is covered. :( But I do like the Fab Pore facial peel mask.

Other stuff out of my life:
I've put some Lush stuff on ebay! I love Lush in general, but I'd rather just use the products I love than go through ones I'm not that keen on just because they were free in my grab bag. I already have bids, which is great!

    New stuff:
I received a Lush Baby face cleanser from my brother's GF because she didn't like it. I'll use this for a while instead of the S&G but it will probably be just as bad.

It's my birthday today :j (21!) so I get to use all my best toiletries today! And I get to open my birthday box of Lush which I wrapped up last month.:D

Have a good week everyone and keep up the good work!
  • Managed to finish a shampoo this morning, only two more bottles to go. Not bought any more toiletries this week and as we are about to spend nearly £7k on a new kitchen i've got to really really cut back on spending everywhere (managed to get it on interest free credit over 3 years but still have to find the money for the re-payments each month!)
  • Happy Birthday Rebecca, hope you have a fantastic day and are thoroughly spoilt.

coolio - thanks for that !!!!

may well have found where to spend my points.... ( NO !!!!!)

FWIW I never use them now. If I do feel the need for gloves I wear the thin cheapos for summer riding....cotton-ish with pimple palms and fingers? This enough and with grip to still do stuff before bed...

I'm in a quandry at the mo as to whether to use eye cream or not. Since Christmas I've been using Elemis Absolute Eye Serum and have had a sample sachet of Bobbi Brown Eye Balm and have been alternating the two. My eyes do look better and I notice that I rarely need to use concealer under them. On top of this though I've got a better diet than before Christmas so am wondering whether it is this and the fact that I always get a good 8 hours' sleep every night that has helped or the creams. I am nearly at the end of both products and have a couple of small tubes of LE Daily Eye Repair which I used to swear by so I'm thinking of using these up and then trying a month without any at all to see what results I get then.
Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I pledge to only buy when I run out of a product that is not already in my stash no matter what wonderful emails land in in my Inbox or threads I read on MSE re: glitches!

  • Happy Birthday Rebecca :T Have a great day..... what I'd give to be 21 again :o

I do not moistorise upto my eye lashes/socket. I read that it wasn't good and bought myself some Simple eye cream, which is kind of ok... any good cheapish ones out there I should know about?

I used the Aldi night cream on my neck last night and this morning I feel nice and soft. It smells a bit like suntan lotion but in a nice way... was a bit runnier than it looked but so far it's ok. The test will be putting it on my face tonight :)

Have a great day everyone :j I hope it's not too cold for you all bbbrrrrrrr... it's mega frosty this morning :T
