This is exactly what I do. I'm still doing my whole of market one woman test, but I have scents I prefer, (actually some of them are oils, not butters). I enjoy variety, and scent layering is important...so...one bottle might work for some, I think I'll always be a rotater....I just need t keep it sensible.

    Hiya
At last I feel I am at last making a bit of a dent in my stash. Have used up a hand wash, Molton Brown rose granti WIBA yes beautiful scent got just a drop of the hand cream. Finished a body lotion super size L'Occitane Verbina lasts for such a long time it was well worth the price. While at work finished a Dior hand cream=got it for a birthday pressie, lovely but I dont think its worth the money. I do like to have 'treats' at work as it helps to get through the day sometimes.

Enough of my chatter am off to catch up with all the posts and whats been happening for you all over the last few days.:A I'm a noisey old whatits some times.:)

What a lovely idea! I might take some of my nicer hand creams etc to work to treat myself to something nice and take my mind off giving up chocolate for Lent. Thanks!

Re chocolate, I have resisted all day despite massive temptation and work being horrible. Am very proud.

Right, off to bed with me! Night night ladies xoxo

Many lipsticks are really moisturising...I some times use them when I can't find what I really want when going out side as a barrier. Some are really drying though.

yes, using them as a blusher works, or as a very faint rub, almost like a tint, rather than slicked on. to do this tap the lipstick over the lips then go back over tapping with your fingers. This with th same lipstick used as a blush can look very good IMO.

Laughing at the moment, the young girl next door wears blue lipstick, I could just imagine iton her cheeks :rotfl:

I often use lipsticks I don't like on my cheeks, gives a really soft dewey look.

Thank you dahling, but I've got to go and smell it first!

Actually looking forward to going round the shops seeking out my perfect body butter on Saturday. I want to buy the Dove Pro-Age one, because I reckon it will do a fabby job, but part of me wants something indulgent, prettily-perfumed and a bit less day-to-day-practical too. But I think I will seek out that one and put it on my wishlist to look forward too.

Such restraint! I love delicious anticipation; it makes what you're waiting for soooooooo much more pleasurable when you finally get it .......IYKWIM ladies!! :p;):o

I have been using the Dove pro age since getting some free sample sizes at CC(ages ago so dont lokk for it now) and I keep them in my swim bag as handier than taking a full size one.I love it,it smells a bit like peaches and is a soft peach colour but the best bit is feels so nice on my dry skin so do give it a try,no idea what it costs tho!

just finished my monster size bottle of Nina ricci L'air du temps,I love it and bought a huge tester bottle off a web site at 50% off:j:j am now going to start a new bottle of YSL NU( now sadly discontinued but got mine cheap off the web)

also started 1 of the C&E handcream I won in a raffle today(2 newbies in 1 day:j)again no idea of cost (its called source) but if reasonable WBA (once huge stash of hand creams gone)

got to do nails again today as kept painting over them when edges faded(v quickly too with no 7 :(.....)and now have scratches and little dots ?airbubbles!!!on them which become v obvious when I put my glasses on:mad:

I've used up some Nivea Q10 cleanser WIBA? Yes I think it's really good value, it's as good as other more expensive ones.

My contact lenses are running low so I have to replace them, I wish I had a stash of those. I actually use them as opposed to half the products lying around the place.

Got my hair cut and coloured yesterday at the hairdressing college. €40= really good value, took ages though.

I always include hairdresser and contact lenses in my beauty expenses when I write what I've bought into a spreadsheet. I even felt guilty for the hairdresser expense but I haven't been since before Christmas so it was necessary. Normally I don't mind, I mean it is great value, but I have loads of household and car expenses at the moment.

  • Morning ladies...

Finished a packed of Soap and Glory face wipes WIBA I would if they weren't so expensive, but my face does feel really clean after I've used them. Don't need to rush out and buy any more though, I've still got 4 packs of face wipes in stash!

  • Forgot to mention i shampooed my hair twice today because I'd put a new bottle of shampoo in the bathroom because the old one has nearly run out, well in the shower this morning I grabbed the old shampoo and washed, then grabbed the new shampoo (thinking it was the conditioner) and washed! Hair has never been so clean!

  • Two more products finished today (or three if you count the tube of E45 I cut open and scraped out, but as I've said before I don't really count this as part of the challenge) -
    • Blistex lip restore. WIBA? Maybe. I love the taste and smell of it, but I'm not sure if it is any better or worse than Vaseline. It was only 99p though so I shouldn't grumble.
    • Dove colour repair therapy shampoo. WIBA? Definitely. My favourite shampoo, usually on offer for £1 and my hair (which has very greasy roots & dry ends) stays clean-ish for 3 days, whereas with other shampoos is starts getting greasy after 24 hours.
I opened the BS Hemp hand protector last night - it is very thick, I like it. I love the smell of it too, it reminds me of something... can't quite think what it is though. I gave one of the tubes to my mum because she really liked it when she tried mine, so I have one tube left unopened.
