Ah, I feel cleansed now ! :rotfl:

Sorry for the typo!!! I meant to say 'I will not buy from QVC', then changed it to 'I will not watch QVC' but forgot to delete 'buy', it looks so daft!

Anyway, glad that it worked on you. :rotfl:
I sold a few bits from my hatbox and got £2.70 for the hair supply plus £2.50 postage, the lip gloss went for £3 plus £2 postage, I guess it depends whether you can be bothered to list it all, plus I had to relist my hair supply 3 times before it sold x

That is true, hassle factor v. extra profit. I sold the washbag from my hatbox as I didn't really like it, it sold for almost £5!

fixx, welcome back! I love the DD Moisturiser from Clinique (OH says it looks like custard lol) but as it sadly has no SPF I used my sample bottle as a night cream.

    p.s. thanks Happy shopper!!!!

True, the lack of SPF is a little annoying - but I use Clinique City Block over the top - has decent spf, and really does help repel the london city grime!
Am such a Clinique junky :rotfl:

Btw, was it you Tara who asked weeks ago about being irish/getting more sensible in spending over here etc?

I think my spending has only become more sensible with time rather than living over here - i've kind of learned myself to be better with my money as I realise I don't like debt, and do like holidays and treats - so I have to be more sensible with my money

Plus being a student was an 'education' - i really did have to learn how to budget and stretch the pennies, and that has stayed with me. Although I often feel that although I have so much more income now than I did when i was a student, I'm not actually better off - i just spend more on the same things - So maybe I didn't learn that much :p

    You're welcome. :)

I never visit the freebies board as it is usually tiny freebies/samples which are not worth the effort (imho). But this was so amazing, I think it should go on the Grabbit board! Thanks again, I would never have spotted it. What a freebie! My 5+ kids and I will be delighted to get our free Ariel! :rotfl:

  • Hi all,

I haven't posted to this thread for ages, but I thought I would pop in to say that I'm doing really well - I haven't bought any toiletries since I joined the thread. It feels great actually! However, I haven't used up any more items since my last post, so my stash is still the same. I've nearly finished a few items though; I can't wait to get some new bottles out so I can try something different and also have a bit of space in my toiletry cupboard.

I'm loving your pics:)Nosey question---why do you have Tesco value face wipes? Are they really good or something? It's just that they don't really fit with the rest of your items which are much more glamorous.

Is the greasy No7 handcream the P+P one? If yes it's a little expensive so can I suggest using it overnight with the No7 cotton gloves. It might work miracles:)

The tesco value wipes were bought last year (think they were 10p at the time, only 25p now I think), they are quite good actually. I usually use them first thing in the morning to wake me up, or to help me get my contact lenses in if my eyes won't open!!!
Yeah it was the No7 p&p one, its used up now, mostly on my feet then my hands..

Also have used this afternoon, a Charles Worthington conditioning treatment (30mls) - WIBA - No, I don't think so, got one more in my stash anyway
Also a No7 Body Polish - WIBA - Yes, it left my skin smooth
And a Boots time delay instant eye brightening cream - WIBA - Yes, if I could, but think they have discountinued it. Bought with a voucher about 2 years ago, shame it was really nice. Anyway off to update my sig...
    :hello:No more toiletries challenge :T

  • Thanks for the lipstick recommendations by the way. Maybe more 'high end' is the way to go for decent lipstick? I've got to find a colour I like first though!

I've just washed my hair but it doesn't feel clean at all... BUT I have finally finished the Timotei apricot conditioner! This makes me very happy. If it's not obvious enough, I definitely wouldn't but that one again. Also finished my bar of baby soap so can start using some nice body wash (Benefit or Impulse... haven't decided which yet) :j

It does feel like everything is running out at once for me... I have 6 empty bottles from the past week or so to be recycled.

I have 10 boxes of washing powder. I live alone:o and only do washing for myself. It's mostly liquitabs in pretty boxes all used once or more. I seem to buy them in the same way as I buy cosmetics then alternate them so it takes forever to use things up. I didn't realise I had so many until I counted them. The press under the sink is huge, it would be much better suited to cosmetics storage.

And since when do Garnier make deodorant? I saw it in Tesco but resisted.:A
