I need a new washing machine

Hi - I love my ISE10. It was expensive at £850  but it does have a 10 year guarantee & I can't fault it at all. Here's a link to a thread discussing it. It is cheap to run, quick to do a thorough wash (1 hr 20 @ 40C), has a 1600 spin & it can cope well with a single duvet. I have a bed-wetter & it's been the best machine ever!& as for some happy ending I'd rather stay single & thin

at 40C mine does 55 minutes! admitted it has only 1200 spin but I can get a double duvet in. and it cost about £150 and got a double AA rating.
and it gets my clothes clean!0 -
We bought a Hotpoint Aqualtis after much searching and checking of reviews, about a year ago. It is ultra-quiet (we have an open plan kitchen/lounge) , A+ economy and A+ flawless wash performance. Electronic displays, ability to create your own programmes, 1600 spin and 7.5kg capacity for £340 with connection, delivery and removal of our dead Zanussi. You can even wash king size duvet in it.
I don't think Zanussi are the quality they once were.
Great service from applicances online, but beware the follow-up phone call offering product insurance - the machine came with 1 year on-site full and a 5 year parts warranty from the manufacturer anyway.I'm a pharmacist, not a psychic. :rotfl:0 -
Our machine is also on the verge of packing in - I have read this thread with interest. We have a Hoover (not sure of model) but it's lasted for over 7 years. There are only two of us in our house so it's lasted really well.Mortgage FreeSave £5,000 in 2020[CENTER:j0

I found the receipt for my broken washing machine £245.94 including delivery (and no cash back - I wasn't so MSE then
) Although its nice to see that Ex paid for it on his credit card :rotfl::rotfl:
Anyways.....
After some mooching around the internet and spending most of Friday on here and the Argos website (easier to sort options & make comparisons
), then trailing around Comet & Currys on Saturday to see what the machine looked like in person (and to make sure DD could cope with operating them
She wants to help out but even our current machine is too complicated for her) I've decided on this one:
http://www.bootskitchenappliances.com/Product_Information.aspx?BackLink=Product_Listings&ProductID=11324&ProductCode=ZWF16381W_WH&ProdColourID=20376&specification=false
Its Zanussi, same as my tumbledrier, its the 1600 speed I wanted ideally to cut TD time, and a 7kg drum which in theory can take a kingsized quilt (ideal for when DD is poorly and sick over my bed:o ) and hopefully cut down the need for bedding to be washed as 3 separate loads (1 kingsized quiltcover & pillows, double quilt cover & 2 pillows, double sheets & kingsized sheet & 2 pillows). I know its £347 (ouch!!!) BUT it ticks all the boxes, can be delivered before the weekend if I pay an extra £2.99 (I am soooo prepared to pay this:rotfl::rotfl: ) and I get advantage card points (Equivalent to £27.76 to spend in store
Thats nearly 6 packs of hairdye
) and in theory 2% cashback through Quidco so that would be another £7.50ish
So *gets calculator out* about £342/£350 for it to be here by Saturday depending on cashback being paid. I don't mind either option personally :rotfl:
Opinions please? :think:Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0
