Pipkin hope you feel better soon, don't worry about taking your germs to the hospital you probably got them there in the first place;)
Terrible weekend for me so I am really behind on everything, still don't feel 100%. Tea will be Lamb Tagine I made in the slow cooker a while ago and froze so I don't feel like such a failure
Hello to everyone else.
Probbaly did, Sandy
The wards are closed off to visitors at the moment because of the novovirus and there were patients in there who were coughing without putting their hand to their mouth
Lamb Tagine sounds lovely. Hope you enjoy it
Sorry to hear you aren't feeling too good

THE BEAR IS BACK IN TOWN! <SUNG IN THE STYLE OF THIN LIZZY>
Thank goodness one of the cleaners at Sainsbury's found Franklin the bear :T and handed it into Customer Services. I am so happy - honestly it felt like we'd had a favourite pet put down
I was imagining this poor bear lost and alone and unloved
Honestly I never used to be like this - hard as nails pre kids :rotfl:
Anyway moving on:
Floss - I'd kill to have my wedding day again so please feel free to share details so I can re-live the experience through other people :rotfl:
jackieglasgow - sadly still had a sleepless night with DS, bear or no bear
taplady - hope your Dr's appointment goes OK.
Flutterby - wow you really packed in a lot of sightseeing. Glad you made a new friend <ahem>
You never know what might happen.......:p
pipkin - hope you feel better soon xx
Bargainbird - :rotfl: @ DD thinking she's playing the Wii
wssla - Welcome :j
mummysaver - My mum has a Bissel upright carpet cleaner (she had a Vax which was useless). This one is very good although it did need a repair and the vac repair man won't touch them with a barge pole as parts are a pain to get hold of.
I think a makeshift for tea tonight. Can't be bothered TBH
got a bit of cleaning left to do so had better crack on (yeah right :rotfl:)I have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knife

Great news Bitsy! I'm just logging off for the night, I need to finish my Flyady list, and don't trust myself to keep away from the laptop.

Evening all,
Glad that Franklin bear has been found.
Sorry to hear of so many people feeling poorly...get well soon.
Still very cold here but thankfully none of the white stuff or rain...think that is to change to-morrow.
Feeling very proud of myself...made some carrot and lentil soup, brought it to the boil on hob and then put it to finish cooking on woodburner in the kitchen....not sure how much gas it saved but every little helps!
Ham, mash, cabbage and carrots for dinner, followed by some Christmas cake, think that it must be all nearly gone now....good as it will stop me eating too much.
Eventually had my Christmas present from my nephews passed on by my brother....Ryanair vouchers, so next trip will be a cheap one.
Anguk...thinking of you and your OH.
Need to get back to my knitting as have 3 projects on the go....one of a pair of socks for OH, one of a pair of slippers for DD4 and 6 ins of a sleeveless cardigan for me....hate it when I do that to myself, prefer to finish one thing at a time...think that sock might be first as he loves handknitted socks.
N9eav...hope that the birthday has been good so far and that it continues...go easy on the port though, can be nasty the next day is consumed in quantity.
Diva.....hugs to you
Lame Wolf...hope that you are ok.

Evening all
Congratulations Floss2,
Great news about the bear Bitsy.
Well I had my hearing test with the nurse who told me, most people can hear 20db, I can hear 35db, which is perfectly adequate at my age. I've made an appointment to see the Dr as I want a referal, the nurse is doubtful if I'll get one at my age.
My task over half term is to change Doctors!!
My approved food order has arrived, so I'm off to sort it all out.
Have a good evening everyone.
Hugs Hester

Evening everyone
A late one from me today and didn't manage to get back on computer last night as ds2 was up till midnight, worrying about going back to school today after being off for nearly 3 months.I was also trying to watch the drama Mo,managed most of it thought it was well portrayed. Hopefully we will get an earlier night tonight as I am back at work tomorrow which will be a shock to the system, after being off with ds for such a long time.
Lunch was sandwiches, dinner is lucky dip out of the freezer, need to start labelling things.
Sunnygirl - Happy haircut, I also had a haircut today and went back to my natural colour:rotfl:again. Feels so much better.
Happy Birthday N9eav enjoy your steak and port
MSD - Hope you are ok.
Bitsy - good News, bet you ds is happy to hve Franklin back.
Anguk - Thoughts and prayers for you and you family.
Hester - Hope you managed to get your hearing sorted out.
Essexgirl - hope your DD is ok.
Redruby - sending you virtual earplugs, hope you get a better nights sleep tonight.
Pipkin - Hope you feel better soon, are you still getting the headaches.
Dreamyd - Hope you feel better soon too.
Taplady - hope your DH starts to feel better soon.
Bargainbird - Glad your DS is better.
flutterbyuk - Don't dismiss a long distance relationship. My oh and I have been seeing each other for 5 years, we live 240 miles apart and we are getting married in July this year, then I will be moving South.
mummysaver - have you tried trading standards for advice they are really good round here.
Floss 2 - congratulations I think there are possibly 4 weddings this year on the os thread.
((( Hugs))) to anyone else who needs one. Take Care and enjoy the rest of your evening.
