    I was there about 12-15......

Blimey, we must have passed each other amidst that throng! Did even look in the window of Pret at one point but decided it was far too busy.

Lawks Valli - well done on being alert and on alerting security

Difficult choice Dusty - I have no advice really because I'm useless like that...

Well, just nipped out to tesco and got some food stuff. Have treated myself to steak tonight. I'm quite pooped now.

Just had a quick skim through - what a day for many of you - ((hugs)).

Young drivers - I live in a University town so see all sorts, and was involved in a nasty crash myself as a relatively new driver. If in any doubt about their abilities - do not let your son or daughter get into their cars until their ability improves, its just too risky.

I'm busy flying - rather too much ironing, and sorting my office as I have visitors very soon. Am watching some rather interesting progs at the same time, Russian Art, Christianity and Navies - eclectic mix!

Trying desperately to get a pew cushion clean - much dripped wax, and I'm  at the colour change from the inside. May just be gradually washing them all - who wants their bottoms sat on mucky seat pads?? We have lots of weddings coming up soon and ladies in lovely frocks and mucky seats?

My T & M catalogue came today as and as I now have an allotment.......

Although no one can go back and make a brand new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending.... life is a WIP.

    flippin' heck!

The brass neck of some folk.
Popped to town. Selected sympathy card, paid, spotted cards at 10 for a £1 so was choosing ten when I felt my bag move...looked down to see purse heading away from bag in hand of 'lady' standing next to me! Shouted 'get off' purse drops bag into my bag AND THEY CARRIED ON LOOKING AT CARDS. Shouted at them; then alerted the store staff to their nefarious activities. 'Ladies' pursued by Card factory staff (who was, luckily, joined by another colleague as the 'ladies' split up! . 'Ladies' caught and arrested with other purses on them! Was joined by another customer who had caught them UNZIPPING her bag just moments earlier!

There are some cheeky sorts about. Something similar happened to OH many years ago - he was paying for his petrol and someone 'helped themselves' to his card. She didn't even try to conceal the fact she was doing it. He said he took it back out of her hand saying 'I think you'll find that's mine!'.

Glad those 'ladies' were caught. Might make them think before doing it again (but, knowing what people are like it probably won't make a blind bit of difference).

Chuffin eck Vali, must of missed that bit, the cheek and audacity of some people!!

I am totally concious of this happening by people reaching into bags but never realised they zip open bags - unbelieveable!
It's nice to be nutty but's more important to be nice

Been to see mum today then went to DDs. She has managed to paint the ceiling and do the glossing herself today and made a good job of it. Mum is fine and enjoyed having her usual pedicure.

rach Did the courier come? I sent my Crag stuff back and ended up buying a pair of Rohan trousers. More expensive but a better fit and will last forever. How is your gran?

Dusty, if DS1 is likely to rebel I'd be cautious. I was a teen with older friends, male and female. My parents tried and failed to stop me spending time with them, it just made me worse and I left home at 15. Maybe it's worth speaking to the young man face to face about your friend seeing him, getting his side of things and asking he's careful especially with your son in the car? Knowing my parents had eyes/ears knowing what I was doing, before we hit conflict so often that I left, had more of an influence on me than anything else they did. I think this might have more of an affect than just saying he's not to go with him.....thinking back 15 years when you could have been speaking as my Mam. There are some gastly road safety videos on youtube if you want to scare him a little. Not telling you what to do, just offering experience.....oh I was a terrible teen sometimes wasn't I :o

boddy, it was amazing, so interesting, I am still buzzing now from the day.
One day I might be more organised...........

    WTG Valli.:T:T:TStop the thieving swines.
Dusty i wouldn't stop him going in the car but i would make it very clear that this fella was spotted and that if you heard another report the same, he won't be in that car. At least then your son could tell his friend and it might be enough of a warning for him. If you tell him no 'you won't be in that car again', he'll find a reason. Thats just my opinion.

I have made my first ever batch of chocolate chip cookies and there tummy.:j:j:j Also made some fairy cakes while the kiddies watched a movie. I think the rate that they are disappearing, i'll be making more tomorrow.:D
Sometimes it seems that the going is just too rough.
And things go wrong no matter what I do.
Now and then it seems that life is just too much.
But you've got the love I need to see me through.

Juliejim I'll join you while DP does the sums on our Ayr trip, costed it at about £40 for a travel lodge so that's the most we'll have to pay......210 miles each way, plus dog care....must phone dog sitter.

Depending when you're coming, just outside Ayr town (about 2 miles) is a lovely caravan / camp site, that I THINK takes dogs too ... much much cheaper than a travellodge, has a fab warm swimming pool, nature trail, entertainment centre etc. Might make it more of a 'combined holiday' for the kids for less cost???? I just need to remember the name of it now ... Sunny something rings a bell. It's also very close to a fab Dobbies Garden Centre that does the most amazing home-baked cakes.

Thanks for all your comments, I agree with all of them! Said Lad passed test first time after having several lessons a week. He then did the advanced driver thing. He wants to be a police driver. This parenting thing is very hard. I want DS3 to stay 8!

Soappie - how did your DD get on with XBF, is she ok?
