sandy- I am all for decluttering the dog. If anypne wants a year old sheepdog I am all ears- happily swap for a ginger cat of any age.

He isn't very pleased, I chucked out all the pieces of towel that started as a whole towel and has been shredded:rotfl: I have an 11 year old ginger cat if you want one, I will warn you though she is a grumpy old cow. Am quite fancying another dog, could you put yours on stilts though because I would want another greyhound;)

About the young drivers, I have had 2 really bad accidents both caused by young drivers, the first one me and my friend were hit on a roundabout by a car of 15 year old joyriders. The 2nd was a head on crash at 70mph because the lad in the other car was on his mobile:eek::mad:

Evening! So far today I have been into town and paid in some money; collected a parcel; bought a magazine and a few other bits of shopping, then went to see dad. Have also done a load of washing, cleaned the kitchen worksurfaces and the hob, washed up, did a 60 in 60 ........ and watched 2 games fo rugby!

Thanks for all the thoughts for Joseph and his family. We put a photo of him up in assembly yesterday and the Head asked me to say a few words about him. I am going to the funeral on Weds as his mum has asked if I would.

    Toots - thank you :A

lil_me - enjoy the conference; feedback please! ETA - just read your post - sounds great!

grateful - huge hugs; hope you can persuade him to see a doctor

poohbear - great news on the driving but  to the doctors; do complain otherwise they'll keep treating everyone like that!

valli - blimey! well done you for shouting; glad they were caught

pigpen - don't know whether to laugh or send you a virtual vodka; so I'll do both!!

soappie - glad DD and DS are both doing ok

    sandy - welcome

MIL's cake is now all iced and decorated, even if it does look a bit errrmmm, amateurish! Had to go for ginger with lemon icing in the end, as didn't have any real butter ... everyone keep fingers crossed that she likes ginger. NSNDH can't remember!!!

Now need to wrap the gifts! Remind me why this is my job and not NSNDH's ... I can't recall him EVER becoming involved in MY mothers birthday!!
  • Gosh Froddy, what happened - Joseph? I must of missed something?

My sister's chief bridesmaid, in 2004, alternated between a wheelchair and crutches, having had a below-the-knee amputation because of a stupid young driver on the wrong side of the road. various other injuries, too. She'd been in a drug-induced coma for months...
Like you Sandy, she's still serving hers. The only 'good' thing was that at least his passenger came clean about the circumstances because the driver (who wasn't hurt badly at all) lied and lied and she had no recollection of the accident.

Froddy teaches at a (very) special school and some of her pupils have health problems. Joseph was a pupil from the school.

Froddy we'll be thinking of you & his family, all the way through to Wednesday. It's so unfair when a little one looses a life, so wrong (((hugs))

I at least had witnesses, he tried to lie his way out of it as well. He told the police it was my fault. Of course apart from a bit or whiplash he was fine:mad:

Froddy, so sorry about Joseph. I will be thinking of you on Wednesday.
