Okay Ive changed my avatar to prove I'm not Gillian Anderson!
I think you look more like her in this one TBH
(I was gonna say whatv a pretty pic)
Mine's me. obviously ;) but you can't see the legs on this one. God help you if Amistupid sees the avvy - go down the arms and you'll be blitzed with PMs ;)

Marmalade made. Dinner scoffed ironing done (All uniform washed dried and ironed because it was non-uniform yesterday). I shall hunt for the missing sock later 9I believe it's hiding in the TD. Which is in the shed. Which is up trhe garden and locked.
All odd socks partners found (in sock drawer(DS) and sock basket (DD) so I have assumed those were clean and paired them all up :D

Thanks for comments on cards. I would assume that after the funeral sometime the family will look through the cards and read them and, I hope, smile at happy memories. I would if it were me.

Going to put slapon and pop out. It's milder here but damp and grey -pah!
(Shall look for free parking to add to stash - and WHY did I not buy LOADS of sugar when it was on half price?

Kids are getting on my [STRIKE]t*ts[/STRIKE] nerves. Niggling away at each other. *sigh* There's a lot to be said for [STRIKE]capital[/STRIKE] corporal punishment... if only!!!:rotfl:

Ha- ha! I know the feeling :D. I know you did not ask my advice on this, but I am bursting to share with you my recent discovery... if the kids are getting under my skin, separation of the offending parties works best. Strange, my monsters are as good as gold when on their own, and why are they so horrid when together...? :(

and it'll be really bad this week, what with Blair and the MPs...

I can't watch any questions for much the same reason. And Jeremy Vine drives me mad. And I am turnign into a VERY OPINIONATED grumpy old woman. And I can't see the screen properly without my glasses any more...

Well it's half past two already and I have been to town and back (3 miles each way), bought some potatoes (and a magazine or two :o - somehow I cant resist!), returned the pedometer that didnt work, decluttered lunch, did the kitchen floor, sorted the post and did the kitchen surfaces (again). Doesnt seem to be too much there really :(

But on the up side, one fo the pieces of post was my new replacement pedometer (after I had walked to town of course) and so I did spend a happy hour setting it up (well maybe only half an hour). Seems to be working fine, but then so did the other one when I started.

    OMG

    *goes to put slap on*

ooh I just heard a jar seal pop! (I reuse old jars)

WHY do people refer to REUSE as recycling?

    IT ISN'T!

recycling is when you take something (ie a can) melt it/break it down and use it to MAKE something ELSE.

When you use something again it is just that. Reusing. So reusing is BETTER than recycling becaus eoyu aren't using any energy to convert it to something else. So making my own jam and reusing jam jars is very green indeed.
And some of the jars I use have had for years. One I have filled today came with two others in a set given to me by a pupil in 2004!
    Now THAT'S green!

problem is I have 4 of the little darlings, so I can't separate them much! If I send them to their rooms, I just get " Mum, muuuummmm, MUUUUUMMMMM, can I come down nooooowww, pplleeaassee?"
I've found just bellowing "OH SHUT UPPPP" works a treat, along with "Clearly you're bored, let me find some jobs for you to do" That soon calms them down ;)
