Ha- ha! I know the feeling :D. I know you did not ask my advice on this, but I am bursting to share with you my recent discovery... if the kids are getting under my skin, separation of the offending parties works best. Strange, my monsters are as good as gold when on their own, and why are they so horrid when together...? :(

Alternatively, dilute them with lots of other people's children. That worked with mine. Means you can gather loads of credits, so you can cheerfully offload them on someone else if you're really desperate.:D

eta I also suggest tidying their rooms, or housework, in fact more so now they're all big teens.

    Afternoon all!

Went into town this morning and had coffee and fruit toast at starbucks again for breakfast! Moon is off work for a change as he took this week off as our woodburner was being installed. I got some birthday cards at the market, including a belated birthday card (60p) for my TA (it was her birthday yesterday and I didn't know), and got her a pot of minature irises as a present (£1). Then we went to sainsbugs to get a couple of bits that we couldn't get yesterday at Mr T, and I got a dip plate to put underneath the pot of bulbs for £1.49, so an MSE pressie that looks really posh (I'm sure something similar in M&S would've been £5). Will get some present ribbon from my Mum when we go to dinner tonight to finish off the look.:money:I also got 5 massive carboard boxes in Sainsbugs, to use as the bases for the lunar settlements that the children in my class will be making next week, and Moon is going to cut them up for me to make big boards.

Moon has just come upstairs as proud as punch, as he'd turned off the hot water, and put on the wood burner. He turned on the hot tap, and it came out hot! Free (wooden pallets from his work) hot water! :T

Have caught up with my emails and sent a couple off. Have also attempted a couple of surveys, but I wasn't who they were looking for. :silenced:

Moon did do the bathroom yesterday, so that is nice and tidy and he also did the side in the kitchen too, as requested.

Serena, forgot to say earlier - glad your observation went well. My kids tried it on when I came back after being off sick, and there were quite a few of them who missed golden time this week because I wasn't having any of it - I've been much less tolerant because I was tired and not 100%, but it worked.
Grateful I'm glad that your DH seems a bit better.
xx_Jo_xx I'm glad your Mum is showing signs of improvement.
Rosepink - well done for doing your filing - I made a start on some of mine in school last night, and was the last teacher to leave at 5.30pm - don't want the poor person who takes over from me being left with piles of unsorted paperwork.
maralum has the situation with the 9-year-old developed any further? Definitely sounds like a case for social services there.
sarah I hope that your friend carries to full term, or as close as possible - my friend had a similar situation, and had to be monitored in hospital closely due to her pre-eclampsia too - her little girl was luckily fine and healthy in the end, although she was induced early because of this.
toots - thanks for the texts and emails - they always make me smile.
vanilla - as I've only been teaching for a little while, I'm not too sure on who you need to contact regarding the SEN - the little girl who moved out of my class had to fill in a form with our school to say she was leaving, and filled in another form with the new school, and I sent her books on after she'd left. She didn't have any special needs though, but you may be able to make an appointment with the special needs coordinator in the new school (they do that in our school when new people join). Hope your DD will be happier in her new school.
pigpen - the antics of your puddytats have made me laugh - luckily since Ebony has only had 3 legs, he's stopped hunting, but I've had the innards left on doormats and live birds etc in his 4-legged life. He's now sat behind me on my chair as I type - he's got very clingy since all of the building work has been going on.
greenbee has a place and time for our walk on Saturday been decided upon yet? I'm off to my M&D's for dinner tonight so can let my Mum know - you never know, my sister may want to join us too, although it's not very likely, as she's more the high heels and shopping type than welly boots and mud. lol
holly - sorry to hear that you didn't get the job - I'm sure the right one is just around the corner.
MrsChaos hope you're ok and not working all weekend! Make sure you have some me-time too.
Valli are there any more dates in the pipeline?
LadyL - looking foward to shifting this cold once and for all and meeting up in half term.

Off to find some lunch now methinks.
Hugs to all who need or want them.

    sexymouse xx

Thanks for the good wishes for my hospital appointment. Good news is that I can drive again.

Bad news is that the nurse and doctor were total *******s. The treatment of the patients yesterday was atrocious, rough handling and quite disturbing. I suppose I am lucky to have never experienced anything like it before. As soon as I was home DH suggested I write it all down and I make a complaint.

I am very upset about the treatment of all the elderly patients who were seen yesterday who were pushed through and roughly man-handled like a production line. The other nurses were lovely and it was a shock to be treated in that way.

The thing is because of my work in the past I know that the 'Patients Charter' was designed to make sure that things like that didn't happen anymore. The nurse was rough and put drop in my eyes without telling me what she was about to do, or why.

The doctor wouldn't let me speak, told me not to speak and I had to listen to him and then dismissed me. No chance to explain my symptoms, no chance to ask questions.

Sorry to moan, I am just very upset by it.

valli, penpen I reuse old clothes too by making other things from them. People still call it recycling. I call it reusing:)
