eta thanks, keys problem is although I'm the bossy one, he's way way brighter than me and always has a logical killer reason why he doesn't have to see doc.
Snap with my DH, I could never beat him in a logical argument! He always has an answer . How scarey for you, hope you can persuade him to be seen, what is it with men.
I've missed something - not sure where you are?
I think it's that she usually works from home but because of the builders coming next week will be in the office every day

I'm still in bed :D Really should get up and dressed soon. Have munched breakfast in here too.

Had a lovely evening with my friends last night, was a bit worried as DH hadn't met them before and he's not great around new people but it was actually fun. First time since we've lived here that I've had MY friends around rather than DH's friends, just because I didn't until recently have any friends here!!

Plan for today is lunch at the cafe, hm soup for dinner and a short stroll to the local pond to get some air.

Keys - the pedals go backwards easily so she needs a lot of strength to go forwards. I'd have her put her feet on the pedals and push her along so that her legs start to get the message. Starting off is the hardest part so get some momentum going for her. Maybe a slight hill if you are right there running with her. How old is she? Is the saddle low enough for her to get enough pressure on the down push? If it is really low she may find it easier to stand slightly if she has stabilisers. Good luck

Great thanks for this Dusty , I wil lcheck the saddle , and I wil ltake her to a different park thats near me as that has hills :) She is 3 yrs old , well 4 in March but she doesnt really have much weight on her so your suggestion makes all good sense .My friend suggested she pretends she is running but on the bike and that seemed to help , but like you said on a flat surface she doesnt seem to get started unless I push , which I did actually think it was her being lazy { just shows what I know haha };)
I will stick at it as I could ride at 2 , but like you said I was a alot bigger tha nher at that age so the weight wouldve helped me I guess. Do you think a few hours a day is suitable ? as I dont want her seeing it as a chore as i was starting to lose my patience a bit last time which was a while ago :o

    Grate
Oh I do hope he gets it sorted :) I suppose you could ring the doctor for a home visit while he is bed without telling him , But I must admit I dont think I could do that myself , but you could boss him into it once the doc arrives ;)

A poster got FLAMED to a cinder last year somewhere on this site when she INSISTED a bag had been stolen in John Lewis when a lady (who her sister KNEW;)) had gone to the toilet and left her bag OUTSIDE the cubicle on a hook provided by John Lewis for that very purpose.
I read this thread, it was absolutely hilarious! As if any shop would have hooks outside the cubicle for people to hang their handbags on, and as if anyone would be stupid enough to hang their bag on it while they go to the loo! :rotfl:

Does it matter if they do? shrug.gif I wear all sort of wonderful clothes and I love it!

Even my kids continue to drive me demented, after the Hairspray incident earlier on in the week, every time they're in the same room together, they burst into song, "GOOD MORNING BALTIMORE",
    :rotfl::rotfl:Your kids sound wonderful!

Sarah don’t feel bad, you just had our best interests at heart

Vanilla, glad the CSA is doing things the right way round this time ie they are paying for the DNA and getting the mum to provide info to prove her case (which she won’t have of course!)

Mozzy glad your DH got his electricians licence! Yay!

Diva I hope your appt goes well at the hospital, and that Tristan’s op went well

Love and hugs to Lady Liberty, how are those kittens after their ordeal?

Hugs Pigpen, panic attacks are awful, I do feel for you. Hope you feel calmer now and have found a solution to the party thing

Jo glad to hear your mum is on the mend, sounds like it will be a while til she can come home, hugs to you all

Crafty glad you had a nice tme at your craft group

Rach, am thinking of your Gran, hope they can help her and find the cause soon

Mrs B glad to see you back!

    Welcome Kazla and Sandy

Soappie what bizarre bus incidents! How odd!

Grateful I think you need to insist that your DH sees a doctor, ring the out of hours one or NHS direct. Tell him he is being very selfish for letting you worry on without finding out what is wrong – and tell him he’s got to look after himself for your sake even if he doesn’t want to for himself. I know he’s scared, but try to persuade him that it’s better for him to know what the problem is instead of worrying what it could be.

I am chain-blowing my nose today - like chain smoking but with tissues and noses! I feel a bit rubbish but am going to try to do some flying. We are going away first thing in the monring and it's nto fair to expect DH to do everything to get ready. So I'd better get off the sofa and go and do something

HHC at 11:15 - join me if you can!

kids have gone to their dads so I must crack on
and I MUST 'pop' to town to get soluble parrots and a sympathy card for family of my jam mentor...
would it be appropriate, d'you think,. for me to write, in the card, of the legacy she gave me, teaching me to make jam, lending me her equipment and encouraging me? It's something for which I will always be grateful..
even the recipe I posted on Thriftlady's preserver's thread, for Vera's Rhubarb and Ginger Jam, which I still make and which was my first ever jam, came from her.

Hi there hilarious flyladies - you DO keep me going -
most of the brilliant work for making the taps shine, polishing the floors, and tidying up seem to be of no avail! the house is 'back to normal'. I nearly posted a photo of my dining room table which Mr G thinks is his office- I could have cried - it was cleared mid week with a clean table runner and a bowl of hyacinths on it, now its a paper scrum. but I'm NOT picking up another duster till Monday and then I will tell him what do to with his rubbish.

Valli - I'd def put that in a card. When my mum's best friend's DH died I wrote the widow a card and put in a real memory I had of him looking after us one specific time (was the day we [mum, me & sister] moved out of my dad's after the divorce, my grandad was having a minorish op on a hernia which turned into a 6 hour op to remove stomach and lots more due to cancer!), the guy looked after us overnight whilst his wife was working nights as a nurse and my sister was sick so he ended up washing bedding in the middle of the night etc. She was really touched that I remembered and had written it.

REALLY should get up...will just drink my cuppa :D

With DD1's piano practice I give her the kitchen pinger, she sets it to 10 min and then knows how long to practise for. Honestly I think any child can't concentrate for more than half an hour max on one thing, so if you do more than that in a day break it up with gaps.

Grate Oh I do hope he gets it sorted :) I suppose you could ring the doctor for a home visit while he is bed without telling him , But I must admit I dont think I could do that myself , but you could boss him into it once the doc arrives ;)
Home visit? Are you kidding? If we want to see a GP after 5.30 or before 8.30, we have to travel 40 mile round trip. (But like the murphys, I'm not bitter!) They will never ever come out, even for really sick children.

Sounds unutterably gorgeous, and exactly the colours I would choose. Could you get a purple corsage to put on the shrug to tie it in?
