Service man been and gone, the boiler's safe but on it's way out, can't condemn it cos it's the weekend and I'd have no heating for gawd knows how long, but he said as soon as something breaks on it they will give me a new one, time to get the spanner out methinks:D when it warms up outside first.
I've done the upstairs :j and the cloakroom toilet, need to do hall/stairs/landing, and then downstairs, why does it take me longer to do my own that it does my customers *perplexed shrugs*

Now....that sounds smashing
But... how do u get the marmalade in the middle, without cutting them, and it not sinking to the bottom ??
I remember reading a thread on here ages ago about sinking jam in fairy cakes
Can you to the cover in flour before putting it in the uncooked mix, do you think ??
I might have to try this later, all in the purpose of experimentation purposes, of course
Grateful... I hope DH is feeling better soon
Mumof2...
I have done your survey
Years ago...maybe about 8 years, I used to take my ironing to an ironing shop.
They had a deal, which was a bag of ironing with 20 items in it. If I remember correctly, the deal they had was £12 per bag. If the bag had less than 20 items, they would charge per item, which worked out much, much more than the 20 item deal. I used to take my ex's work shirts there, and other difficult items too.
They also checked all the items before they took it, to make sure there wasn't going to be any difficult issues with the items.
Bedding/curtains had a different price rate.
Ok, off to get ready.
Will be back with a list later

I ran to call an ambulance (didn't even put him in the recovery position) but he had got himself up before they put me through and he insisted I cancel it. I thought I was going to lose him, the whole of life flashed through my mind.
We don't know what it is, this happened once, on the plane to our honeymoon, but that was years ago. He won't see doctors. Its so scary.
Consequently, notalot of flying done. He's in bed at the moment. dw and wm on though.
Honey, you need to make him understand that putting off going is NOT doing you or him or anyone else any good. Why are men such !!!!!! about going to the doctors !!!!!!.Mega hugs for you:grouphug::lovethoug:heartpulsOnce a Flylady, always a Flylady:heartpuls0 -
Thanks for all the hugs, guys. Have done the ironing survey. I once had a cleaner who also said she did ironing. I dispensed with her services after it took her two hours to iron one duvet cover. Noooo!
DH is in bed having been force fed tea and B vitamins. Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x0 -
Hugs grateful - hope you manage to persuade him to go to the docs.

I hope they come in useful!
Not much done so far today... windows opened to fresh air ration. Washing in machine. Plug holes and overflows bleached (well, kitchen & utility to do when the sinks are empty). Need to walk into the village and go to the butcher. It's pretty miserable outside though. And I still don't know how many people are coming to lunch tomorrow!0 -
Grateful - hope DH makes a speedy recovery :Acyclingyorkie wrote: »DS not popular - he went out last night - and threw up in his bed when he got in! Sadly he then slept in it so I am now stuck with sorting the mess out!
How old is he; sounds like he might be old enough to sort his own messNow....that sounds smashing

I was thinking of adding the marmalade once they're cooked, bit like the orangey bit in a jaffa cake

gratefulforhelp wrote: »He won't go to the doctors because his Dad collapsed, and then died a day or so later after lying on a trolley in a hospital corridor. His Dad was 30 years older then than DH is now, so its not logical, but then we aren't logical when we're scared. Will push him on it.
He then got admitted to hospital and found he had slight epilepsy and now is completly fine on regular medication for the last few years.
Your Oh may not have anything serious or like this condition . But just a suggestion maybe you could push your OH into seeking medical attention with a bit of emotional blackmail { cruel to be kind }sort of way , on how this may affect your children if it was to happen again .
I hope you dont take this advice in the wrong way i am just merely suggesting another option of getting him to the docs.
I really do hope he feels better soon and I can greatly understand why your both scared . Hopefully he will get himself to the docs and it will all be sorted soon .Hugs for you :kisses3:
