  • He won't go to the doctors because his Dad collapsed, and then died a day or so later after lying on a trolley in a hospital corridor. His Dad was 30 years older then than DH is now, so its not logical, but then we aren't logical when we're scared. Will push him on it.

I'm glad you guys are here. DH collapsed twice this morning. I ran to call an ambulance (didn't even put him in the recovery position) but he had got himself up before they put me through and he insisted I cancel it. I thought I was going to lose him, the whole of life flashed through my mind.

That must have been so scary! Well done you for staying calm. DH phoned me at work 3 years ago, saying he couldn't breath. He was in a shopping centre with DS2, who was 2 at the time. I phoned for the ambulance straight away (it would have taken me ages to get to him) and it turned out he was having a heart attack. Been ok since.

I hope you can persuade/nag/bully him so he goes to see someone about it, even if it's only to put your mind at rest. Hope your day gets better.

Gratefulforhelp what a horrible shock for you. As others have said nag him until he sees a doctor. Chances are its nothing to do with his dad but I can see why he would be scared.

Havent caught up more than a skim read with the thread as there qwere something like 10 pages since I last looked yesterday morning

Also, havent done much flying this week. I did clear and wipe the kitchen surfaces, but they need doing again already :(

So, today is a catch-up day for me. It's foggy outside, but I need to walk to town to get some potatoes (and some exercise). Will take just enough cash for the bits i need and then I wont be tempted to buy loads of other stuff too. Oh and need to return the pedometer that doesnt work. Walked another three miles and it said I had burned 0.9 of a calorie - wont lose much weight that way :rotfl:

Then when I get back, I intend to start with all the level ones for each day and see how far I get.

Right, if Im going to do all that, then Id better get off the computer and at elast get dressed - mne walking to town in my PJs wont be a pretty sight!

    Ruth

ETA: Grateful - how scary! He simply MUST see the doctor though. Hope he's ok.
