Edit: OMG the name of the dish is "p i s saladiere", which means none of the links above work! If you cut and paste the links and then edit them, or just google the word, you'll get loads of ideas!

    Hi Plum Pie,

Strangely enough, the delia link and the telegraph link both work. I had to click on one of them because I couldn't guess what the word was. I've never heard of that dish. :o

OK, in that case, it's just the MSE anti-swearing tool screening out the first four letters.

I know the real name, but in my head I call it 'pastry pizza'!

Hello there  We have an older thread - what can I do with puff pastry? I'll add your question to that one later.

Hi all, I was lucky enough to get 8 packets of McDougalls Puff Pastry mix from Tesco for 8p each (the last 8 packs)! Now I have them I was hoping for suggestions as to what to make - there's just me and my two year old daughter so whole pies are really not a good idea. All I can think of is sausage rolls! Does anyone have any ideas?

    Thank you in advance :)

pizza - Make as you would any other pizza, sauce, cheese, toppings etc, brush the edges with beaten egg and cook for about 10-15 mins in med-hot over, mmmm, this is a hit with all the family :)

Cheese whirls, roll pastry out to rectangle, cover with grated cheese, roll up from long edge and cut into slices, brush with beaten egg and cook in hot oven, not sure of heat and time but when cheese is melted and pastry goes puffy they is cooked!

Use any fruit to make turnovers.

Also may sound a bit strange but put square of pastry on baking tray, top with bolognaise sauce with grated cheese on top, actually, probably turns out a bit like wonder girls post lol

I also got a few pkts of this on my online shop today:D

    classic tarte tatin http://www.bbc.co.uk/food/recipes/database/tartetatin_80462.shtml

I'm sure I saw a recipe in an old supermarket magazine recently for ( I think)parsnip, apple & sweet onion tarte tatin - I'll try and hunt it out but probably won't be until tomorrow **

you could make half portion and use rest of pastry for something else or make a whole tart and have the rest cold

    ** found the link - it was Somerfield - http://www.somerfield.co.uk/foodanddrink/recipes/recipesearch/recipe.asp?recipe=Roasted+Onion+%26+Parsnip+Tarte+Tatin **
