Are you for real??
They advertise what is achievable as not everyone is the running the same setup, one maybe running an old setup another running a top spec setup, either way you will achieve no more than what it is advertised but you will get less. Thats just the way it works as there are too many variables that can effect the performance.
Same with cars MPG, a tester using the car may achieve a 70mpg max, in perfect conditions. The average user sitting in traffic, stopping and starting will struggle to get it, but the car can still get that figure.Everyones opinion is the most important.....no wonder nothing is ever agreed on.0 -

I'm 100% certain about that, dont give the figure which one you used with super computer that runs faster than 10000 times than normal computer, and advertise that speed. Nonone will have super computer in the world except NASA and other people.
Give me the real speed if i use 2 GB memory, USB 2.0, 1 GB one big file what will be the transfer rate, few more in the chart with different permutations.0 -

Who says thats an average computer??
If they were to list the speed for every configuration possible the cost of the product would be an extra £10 due to the paperwork that needed to be printed listing all that info.
Why you even arguing about it, do the research you said you did in the beginning and you would already know all this.Everyones opinion is the most important.....no wonder nothing is ever agreed on.0 -

May be if they don't print anything on the box or manual still the price can be cheaper, would you love that.0 -

Thanks for your support guys. You 2 are always talk like this or sometimes. It's really fun for me :j0 -
The drive is in all probablity working to spec. There are many variables that impact on transfer speeds including quality/length of cables and motherboard. You may even have plugged it into a USB 1.0 port.0
